We've seen what happens when you leave them in.
Also, we all don't lose the tip.
The belief Americans have that Brits have bad teeth is proof that the average American is a fucking dumb cunt.

The dentist is free in the UK to below 18s. We have dentists and orthodontists here. We brush our teeth. We have dental floss and mouthwash. But sure, people living in Cambodia and Timbuktu have $20'000 Hollywood smiles. Only the Brits have bad teeth..

I've been to America. More than twice and I'm mistified by the fucking moronic BS you clowns spout about the Brits and the overly high opinion you have of yourselves. Dental hygiene is not specific to nationality.

I was a bitchboy once and didn't floss that much when I was young. One day one of my back teeth was hurting hard until I finally picked out a thread and flossed out a damn big chunk of meat from a steak I had a few days ago just sitting there rotting between my teeth and stinking like hell. That was the moment I realized I could not let that shit happen again and floss whenever possible; either feeling it lodged between or after brushing.

Cactus spines work almost as well as floss. They are much finer than toothpicks and last forever. I cannot handle having anything between my teeth and keep one everywhere I spend any time.

Wisdom tooth extractions should come with a prominent tattoo that says "I AM FUCKING SOFT."

Aside from one of them coming out a bit crooked, my wisdom teeth came out pretty ok and never had any of that sideways shit.
Sounds like a skill issue tbh, you should've mewed or got better genes when you were younger.

Please, brush, floss, and take care of your health, Kiwis.
Are the scans your teeth OP? Pretty brutal if it is. I hope you are doing better. Periodontitis is no joke. Many people brush it off because its typically painless and doesn't really affect you until its so bad that nothing can be done other than extracting your teeth. Good thing is if your oral hygiene is impeccable its very easy to treat in 98% of people.

One thing I want to mention for those who read this thread. Periodontitis impacts general health, especially the heart and the brain. Its not just your teeth. Not saying this is everyone who has periodontitis but I swear that of the patient's I treat, those with periodontitis are generally less intelligent than those who do not have periodontitis.

Big take away is that you MUST to brush and floss.

No, thankfully not mine. Just a mouth I was working with.

It's a bit ineffective, maybe because I only buy soft toothbrushes
Yeah I've never used soft toothbrushes I like to get in there with a nice hard Oral B toothbrush and put some elbow grease into it. I want every piece of plaque scraped off those bastards.

Fuck me dead, how sensitive are your gums you guys?
I did have mild gingivitis when I was younger; I would bleed like a hemophiliac at every dentist visit for years. Even when I got it under control, I ended up brushing my gums (bad idea, I know, I know) to the point where I may have exposed the tiniest bit of nerve in a couple spots.

But despite all that, I actually like going to the dentist; I love the clean feeling afterwards and knowing my teeth aren't royally fucked.

I bought a medium toothbrush once, and it was an instant mistake. Felt like I was tearing apart my gums.
Soft or very soft only. Anything more stiff is liable to actually damage your gums. I've even had a Colgate rep tell me that the only reasons they still sell anything stiffer than soft despite knowing it can cause issues is because when given a selection consumers are most likely to pick the middle (medium) option and that many customers are used to medium and will not want to change despite it being beneficial.

I recently realized the reason most people today don't have all their teeth rotting out of their skulls comes down to the invention of menthol toothpaste. The cool and fresh feeling it gives hooks into a deep part of our instincts, making it so that most people will brush their teeth not because they've been told it's good for them but for the fresh and clean feeling itself.
