The sum of all positive integers is undefined, it diverges, it diverges to infinity, it increases without bound - however one wants to phrase it, they all mean the same thing. If you add up more and more positive integers, the partial sums obviously grow without bound - the series diverges.

The analytic continuation of the summation formula has the value of -1/12 at s=-1, true, but the analytic continuation is not equal to the summation at s=-1, otherwise it would be undefined too- they are different functions.

Of course, no one wants to say:

“if you want to fill in the singularities of the summation in an analytic way, the new function you get happens to have a value of -1/12 when s=-1; and of course the formula for this filled in function is not the summation given when s=-1, otherwise there’d be no singularity to begin with, but it makes people confused when we pretend it is, and makes us feel clever, so we’ll keep doing it”

Actually I added them all up and it came to -1/12. I used a calculator to check.

how is that "justice" to any story? That's just "and then britain was taken over and raped and that sucks." Most stories have a "but then the protagonist was awesome and defeated the bad guys and everyone who doubted him was proven wrong and felt stupid" after that point. Otherwise it's just misery porn.
