I think I would immediately assume that any tattoo I got from Phil would automatically get infected, no matter what I did. I cannot imagine that anything stays clean after he touches it.

Forgive my ignorance, I've never gotten a tattoo, what's involved in a tattoo license, and can you imagine the unsanitary conditions Phil's tattoos would entail, I wouldn't even expect him to fully clean the needles or a clean environment.

Tiny sperg: Tattoo needles are meant to be single-use, opened right in front of you (with gloved hands) before they're put in the machine, so you know there's an attempt at sterile field technique. Some studios won't even let a friend hang out in back with you because there's too much of a risk of contamination to you from their bodies and whatever may be on their clothes. Now, remembering to wear the gloves, that could easily be a thing for the Tragic Spud.

Don't you usually have to train under another tattoo artist/go to school for it and actually be able to draw and have a portfolio? Not to mention generally be someone people can stand to approach despite your own extensive ink?
