Buy a hot water bottle instead of a tacticool jacket. Sit with it on your lap with a blanket over you. (Hint: try filling the hot water bottle with hot water. It's even better!)
Put an empty earthenware plant pot upside down over a lit tealight candle. Hell, just a couple of uncovered candles will heat a small room a few degrees.
I've heard a hairdryer under the bedcoers keeps you warm, too (don't fall asleep with it going).
Or there's the option of paying for essentials like rent and utilities before buying anything else, but I don't want to go too wild with the ideas.
Other single Lantinx ladies manage it, why can't Phil?

As for the tardbucks and food stamps, it's pretty damn obvious the shit feels he's entitled for them.
