That's my issue with Phase. It takes ages to get the merch.
I said it a couple of times here, I would buy their stuff but I don't want to wait a year or two to receive it.

no prototypes and they dont answer questions about the merch. if i saw what shiina's slippers looked like i wouldn't have bought them. and with the feather pen, id need to know if the nib is replaceable and if it is, if any nib will will fit.

I honestly blame them. I suspect the fishman tries to get the best bargain he can, since like 90% of merch stuff is pretty generic mass produced items like the beanie. There's no reason for it to take that long

There are Indie Vtubers who pump out merch better and faster than phase. And they have a much smaller pull / reach.
I've gotten merchandise from acrylics and art all the way to plush in less than half a year's time from indies. Not even through the big sites that they do plushie funding and goals on in seven months time who handled it all themselves.

Even fallenshadow managed to get her own plushies out and shipped quicker than Fishman. There really is no reason for shit to be this slow.

It's less work for them, it gives them laxer timelines, and probably allows to pick and choose between manufacturers to cut costs further.
Best part is they managed to turn it into a meme, "haha phase is so slow with merch am I right guys?", so they don't even have an incentive to change anything, the fanbase will sweep for them.

you have to consider the amount the vtuber pays the manufacturer; the vtuber makes considerably less than phase does because rhe manufacturer does all the retail and sht.
