The girl being the one hit by the car is a good twist, but the trailers spoiled the entire fucking thing. Whoever authorized that deserves to be fired.

The ending is pretty haunting, if sequel bait.
 
Yeah, in the book the pets didn't become evil so much as just kind of dull and rather passive. It was people who became mean if you buried them there.
