All the songs are amazing on it, but The Gumbo Variations is my absolute favorite. Frank Zappa said in an recording he got the album title from listening to an Archie Shepp song/performance, noting that a particular solo sounded like "this fucking army of pre-heated rats screaming out of a saxophone". I think if any song on this album could represent that tenfold, it would definitely be The Gumbo Variations.
