Path of Exile

Farmers who have played both 1 & 2: Are there any systems you'd backport to 1 from 2?
IMO. the only thing that poe2 is worse than poe1 in is the moment to moment gameplay, dodge roll was and is the biggest mistake that they made in poe2 and the decision to add it will haunt GGG for years to come. Oh and the music in poe2 is a downgrade. Oh, also the atlas in poe2 is worse than 1 (even after 0.5, I feel like they just added to it, but fundamentally nothing changed). but other than these things, I would port everything from poe2 to poe1...:)

After taking about 40 tries to kill the Arbiter of Ash, did the Arbiter of Divinity on the 4th. Just so much better telegraphed and clear what's required.

The problem with Dodge roll is you can't really alter it outside of like trial of sehkema bullshit, being able to give it i-frames or range or animation speed would help a lot.

I have played this game way too much this season. At 98.3 or so. I still feel like a complete noob and haven't even touched some of the encounter types for farming or finished all the atlas trees for them. It is actually wild how addictive the atlas map itself is. There is always another city or interesting node or interesting farming strategy to try. The fact I'm "almost" max level but still feel like a complete noob is crazy.

If you haven't yet, I would recommend running deleriumn tables and then rushing the boss so it dies in delerium. You need the delerium atlas node that allows it to spawn grand mirrors but once you have that you can hyper juice maps with it. It's a cool mechanic and I have about 30% of my entire altas covered with delerium fog now.

Yeah I just recently started doing basically that. Running everything at 200% delirium now trying to fast track to the cities, I think thats essentially the meta right now. Thought my build was super OP and realized it still needed alot more tuning once I started 200% maps. Lost 2-3 bars at 98 dying to stupid ass mobs/bosses but think I'm good now. I still really like abyss/breach so Im just running abyss/breach/delirium+1 extra tablet random and doryanis atlas masters.

I keep losing my bars because I'm chasing a voices jewel in simulacrum. I'm lvl 97. I keep hitting all the shards to make it higher difficulty and I end up dying once every 3/4 runs. I've kinda resigned myself to lvl 97 lol.

I haven't found the jewel yet but I'm making money off of fighting the Raven and Bodach. I run Doryiani on maps and Jado for bosses. I've made about 1k divs on bases from bossing.

The problem is, that once again, you talk out of your ass.
Is this your gimmick? Do you enjoy saying stupid autistic things, than get corrected and embarrassed?

Anyway, you get dodge roll modifiers from some abyss rolls and from some relics of the current league.
It's something you would know, IF YOU ACTUALLY PLAYED THE FUCKING GAME.

After days of grinding ritual with no luck, I finally bit the bullet and bought a MageBlood. This prompted me to change up a ring and my boots. So spent about 700 div today. Upside is the rare xesht linneage gem dropped for me on my second run so my build is basically complete unless I want to try and get triple sockets on things. Body armour is the only one that's looking feasible right now.

Monkey is slapping at 1.8M dps in hideout. I spent the last couple hours helping anyone who needed a boss kill just to show off lol.

damn, monkey is doing insane dps hit, monkey can 1 shot boss even in 5 man party, pretty sure it will get nerfed.

I'm loving season 0.5 so far, but i need to leave it and take a break for the full 1.0.

Seeing how 0.5 added so much content, I'm kinda scared how 1.0 will suck the life out of me. Also now there's quite a lot of easy viable strat like monkey. The endgame is fine, but ggg needs to polish early parts of the campaign like Act 3, which somehow i find the most annoying and boring parts of campaign. Perfect Exalts need to drop more often, at lvl 96 i found only 3, perfect chaos 0.

While not the most op build, imo hollow palm transition to staff hollow form gotta be the smoothest path to league starter I've ever tried. Hollow Palm on campaign is a no brainer no weapon high dps. Then hollow form just clean up everything on one button with almost no investment in other skills. Any decent 600 dps staff will bring you all the way to endgame without high juice. 600dps staff is only a few exalts btw.

ggg gonna bring out swords for 1.0, and it's gonna be busted.

What's your gear rarity? Have you set up the atlas tree properly + running full juice maps? I agree that they should drop a bit more. It's kinda ridiculous how rare they are, BUT I have found about 15 perfect exalts and 12 perfect chaos. Way way under the 400 divine I've had drop raw though.

As to monkey, the single-target DPS is insane (when monkey doesn't decide to hit the opposite way), but it is very RNG on finding a good one. I am STILL looking for one with Extra Crit and Extra damage. I've run at least 40 maps with monkey as boss, and it took me around 25 to get my first extra crit monkey, which changed my world.

Already uninstalled so i forget about my rarity, have a bit here and there on rings and amulets, otherwise probably not too high. All atlas specced, except some league mechanics like temple. Most of the time probably moderately juiced, not 200% deli, but always full mods.

Imo i just feel that when you drop currency with such a low rate, it becomes unusable, people cannot even begin to yolo or experiment. So it only serves as another money to be sold for divines, and that sucks.

At least in this season, i find there's quite a few things i can craft myself with essences and omens, but perfect exalts and chaos are just beyond rare. They shouldn't feel like chase items like mageblood.

Bro chill with the hyperbolics. Mageblood is 500x more rare than any perfect currency.

Anyways, the way you use perfect currencies is different than normal. Only use perfect chaos when you are whittling and only use perfect exalts and perfect regals on GG bases where there is no viable essence (aka you already have the stat on the base) and you have already desecrated or decided against desecration if the stat you are looking for will be dilluted. If you have more than one slot to fill omens of greater exaltation will save you divines.

With annulments you can use some expensive omens to hedge your bets.

Unless you are trying to craft amazing mirror tier gear, you can craft up items for half to 1/3 the price it would cost to buy it outright on the market.

I don't craft much as I like farming but I know some crafters and I cater my playstyle to sell crafters the expensive items they need and then use the proceeds to buy exactly what I want.

Path of Exile & Marvel Cinematic Universe, where only black people get an afterlife (Karui are cooler than Wakandans, though)
guess it doesn't matter because in POE everyone is technically reincarnating endlessly in a universal reset timeloop and that's how the Karui goddess can see the "future" because she see's past cycles and guestimates what will happen.

I'm still fuzzy on what is part of the Cycle and what transcends it. How do the Maven, Eater, and Exarch (and everything else "outside" of Wraeclast) from PoE1, and Precursor civilisation & The Well of PoE2 fit into all of that?

Also, the Last to Die and the Scourge can hop... timelines within a Cycle? Cycles themselves? Is it that Corruption (Alt-Alva jumps with Corruption-powered Vaal tech, and per PoE2 endgame it seems the Scourge is the result of a Cycle carpet-nuked by a Cataclysm) is the only thing that can break across Cycles, in which case did the Precursors intend it or is that another unforseen consequence of an Edict? Were the Precursors so powerful that they managed to accidentally create something that enables Cycle-jumping where Eldritch intelligences like the Cleansing Fire (maybe) can't? Damn BIONICLE-tier shenanigans.

the Precursors know everything in a similar way to the Karui Goddess does, by viewing/knowing the past cycles, the one being that is static is Kalandra, she fell into the mirror lake one time, and is forever there, always and forever, and has always been there, always and forever, she's the same Kalandra every time, if she ever got out, she'd end all of reality forever.
