Parks and Rec - Is this one of the funniest shows of all time?

When the show is their personal beliefs on the screen, there is no ignoring the artist for the sake of the art.

That is how I feel about Parks and Rec, every other scene is either them sucking up to a real life Democrat or creating strawmen of anyone who dares to question anything said by a Democrat and knocking it down.

It's just a bunch of smug Hollywood libs going on and on about how much smarter they are than those rubes in flyover country and I find that hard to enjoy.

That and Chris Pratt adlibbing that he googled what someone was sick with and found they had "Internet Conectivity Error."

All the characters are just so smug and clearly hate anyone who is not part of the Hollywood system. If this had been the set up to them constantly falling flat on their faces and failing it would have worked, instead we are told these are the best people who have ever lived and we should worship them do it fell apart.

The only good "documentary style footage comedy from an political office" is The Thick Of It. It's the only one I've seen that that didn't rely on characters too stupid to actually exist.

Someone in our home is rewatching it now, weirdly enough. I think it’s got its moments, but I dip when Ben and Leslie start dating. I don’t care/don’t find their chemistry very charming or interesting. Though on their own, they’re fine. I do like the fact that Leslie hates jazz-we agree on that

It was supposed to be an Office spinoff with Rashida Jones as her character from The Office. It morphed into what we got during development. Amy Poeler didn't want to play the villian of the show so it became the Leslie is always right show.

Ron Swanson was the break out character as he was at least funny. The rest were kind of obnoxious and I'm pretty sure Adam Scott hates Amy Poeler from the lack of chemistry.

And Brooklyn 99 is a worse knockoff of Parks and Rec. They really kept making the same show but worse for like 20 years.

Don't forget Community, which is just all of those other shows again, but this time at a community college.
