I don't think anyone outside of Blade and Jake knows for certain at this point. I think MamaBlade's little morphine whoopsiedoodle might've been enough of a cry for help for the state to step in and say "we've got it from here, fellas." And it only took a suicide attempt!
Jake's still around in WA, since he's popped up on stream here and there, but I don't know if he's still her caretaker. Some vagueposting implied that he was back home in... where ever he's from, but he might've left and then came back. I don't think he was in WA when she had her morphine attempt, since he was one of the people she called to say she was killing herself.
I think the most likely thing is that she's been placed somewhere like a traditional nursing home, which means Blade can't live there since he's not a patient. If MamaBlade was around in some capacity, I don't think Blade would be streaming from shitty motels four days in a row .

Yeah, MamaBlade is pretty notorious for being incredibly fickle and flip-floppy. Or the state might be struggling to find placement for her in a state facility or some kind of similar arrangement. It could be that if they don't find some kind of arrangement for her within X amount of time, Blade could (or has) to take back over. I don't know how WA treats elderly cases like these.
God, imagine being in the process of dying and having Blade as your caregiving contingency plan. I'd eat all my morphine too.

I'm not an expert on how Washington handles things specifically, more knowledgeable in the general subject.
Since it's been deemed a suicide attempt the state (either with or without her agreement due being suicidal) is most likely looking for a psychiatric facility that specializes in older adults and can accommodate her health conditions. An average psych ward isn't equipped to handle any type of physical ailments. The sad thing is these "geri-psych" facilities are very few and far between. So I agree they're most likely looking for placement and plan to keep her in a regular hospital until they can.
I'm not quite caught up on her condition so ignore this part if it isn't relevant. If she's getting services/medication through hospice (since she's dying) then she's gonna wind up in a nursing home to keep services. Hospice doesn't fuck around when it comes to misuse of controlled medication. Even if she's not on hospice her doctor might not prescribe home morphine if the risk of it happening again is too high.

So why did they leave their original spot, then? Was the whole "moving to a house with Jake and Mama Blade" thing a lie? Did they get evicted? I have a strong feeling they must have gotten evicted.
Yeah, most likely. As far as moving, maybe that was the initial plan that got fucked up from the suicide attempt. Landlords can evict you or opt to not let you renew your lease, which is in it's own way a form of eviction. It could've been that their lease was running out anyway and since Blade's been such a drunk nuisance they said, "yeah, we're not letting you stay another year, good luck out there." Once again, not sure how WA is, but I know that's how it is in my state.
