What I vaguely remember just from being an outsider/viewer that liked watching TBG/RC64's videos:
-TBG fell apart, some internal conflict, but mostly that nobody other than RC64 was willing to put effort into it
-Most of them kinda fucked off and stopped being internet personalities
-RC64 became a Twitter/tumblr person
-RC64 got troll's remorse and sadposted about how sad he was for being an Internet meanie and how sorry he was for spoiling video games and that it was a mistake to advertise to the 4chan chuddies
-RC64 stopped doing funny things and became a boring nobody talking about games boringly, while occasionally sperging about typical tumblrist neoliberalisms like Trump and the evil "4channers"

What really got me was when RC64's Twitter posts started reading like Phil Fish's posts sperging about "GAMERS", at that point I know it was fucking erver

You know when you see messages like this, it's just to get us to hurt. They're getting us to hurt, they're keeping us hurt, they're hurting previous hurt, and it's about controlling the narrative. And people message me and they tell me "oh they're saying such and such political statement" and that's, literally that's fine, I don't even have a problem with that, but just know what they're doing. Because they definitely know so that's what you're supporting when you support this. And of course everyone wants us to speak up when this happens but we never do. Literally Never and it's because no one cares. They tell us to stay quiet about it, don't address it, and it's like hmm, that's weird, it's almost like that's exactly what they want so they get to run with the narrative and you don't get to say anything back. Which I don't. Because I have a lot of patience, but my boyfriend Zach was like a hundred times more pissed than I was and he actually quit Smiling Friends because he couldn't deal with it anymore. It ruined his life. And I'm not saying you can't keep supporting these people, it's actually fine if you do. But I have the screenshots, I have the messages, I have the lorem ipsum dolor sit amet consectetur adipiscing elit sed do eiusmod tempor incididunt ut labore et dolore magna aliqua.

But honestly I prefer not to address it.

If DingDong and Julian have primarily been on Bluesky (and thus courting that audience) no shit they are paranoid retards now. That entire site is just furries and other assorted weirdos amping each other up on how their grandpa who voted for Trump is gonna put them in a concentration camp for kissing a boy. They are deranged.
 
I have the KH2 playthrough on TV right now... *sigh*

I've said before DD&J is my favorite era, but Chris really was constantly pushing their buttons and bringing up them being gay in ways that were sometimes really just mean-spirited. Before I started watching their era I always saw people complaining about Julian talking about being a gay furry all the time, but after watching all of their videos dozens of times over, Chris is the one that is always talking about it. Like yeah, Chris and his friends are always being dicks to each other, good natured ribbing haha funnee, but DD&J were obviously uncomfortable with it so it's a dick move to keep doing it.
