Oh boy, are you guys ready for a Mask reboot!

Edit: Went to his character page on a wiki, it just has no effect on him. He might not have any active inhibitions to begin with, so the mask can't do anything for him. Or maybe the mask recognizes him as an enemy and just refuses to work. I dunno.
That's been something that's been debated for a long time. All theories could be true, that kind of the fun of the mystery of Walter. I was surprised they put him in the cartoon.

The Mask is a pretty graphic comic, I was surprised at all the blood, death and gore myself. I think it worked better as a lighter revenge story and than the comics, but thats just me.

Doesn’t Walter actually put the Mask on but it doesn’t do anything?
IIRC he tries to put it on but it doesn't fit. He's too much of an absolute unit for the mask.

I was recalling it from memory, so I looked it up. He does put on the mask and it does nothing, no idea why though.

Yeah Walter really is an Absolute Unit.

The same old fucking SNL hacks getting the same retarded work in the same incestuous industry of creatively-bankrupt pedophiles. Enough funding these parasites.

People who think this will be anything like the comic just need to take a look at Melissa to know its not. Also Hollywood is not one to do faithful adaptations of a sequel to a pre-2000s IP unless it had a movie adaptation back then, and even if they did do it, it would be as lackluster as any of their recent films, and if its a full blown reboot/remake its almost guaranteed to be inferior to the original.

Its been years but if I remember right, the reason the mask didn't work on Walter is because the Mask brings out the person you always wanted to be as well as bringing out your most primitive and unrestrained desires, so its basically your ID taking over with the mask bringing out your worst traits, but since Walter is already unrestrained and savage on the outside and doesn't really have much of a personality, its no wonder the mask didn't work on him.
Edit: Another thing I recall reading once ages ago (not sure if it was in a comic, an author's note or some old forum) was that Walter was a soulless entity and he was clearly not a normal human being to be sure. Maybe that had something to do with it. Also, the Mask cartoon (even though its a separate continuity somewhat tied to the continuity of the film) once implied that Walter was immortal as he had been around since the 1600s, so he was definitely not an ordinary human there either.

Yeah, no way this would fly, especially with the gore. People would want it more lighter and comedic. I have to give it that at least it would be more believable than a 90 pound rail thin model murking people in close combat. John Motherfucking Wick has trouble with guys bigger than him by 10 pounds and an inch or so in close combat. I am just so fucking tired of this cliche. Its just been made into one now. I'm fucking tired of it.

At least make the model genetically engineered, supernatural or a cyborg or something. Or just use guile and manipulation to kill people, use her looks to disarm them, get close to her goals and kill. But I guess that's sexist, they have to murder people in the exact same way as men. I have this on my mind because there's was that french faggot who made Lucy made another model-assassin movie where she's in this hotel with at least 75 people seeing her at every angle and running in every direction once she starts fighting and murdering 230 pound, 6'2" men in close combat. Then the next scene is 'Someone wiped the tapes. We're dealing with a real pro here'. Fucking really? Nigger, there were like 70 people who saw that bitch walk up to this man and kill him. Agent 47 has a barcode on his neck and would be less fucking memorable than a sexy blonde chick murdering fully grown men.

Oh wait, it's the author who wants to do a reboot. But why with Melissa McCarthy of all people? She's not funny. She's not attractive and she's not charismatic. She's the diet-Rosie O'Donnell. Get literally anyone else
I'm sure she was part of the reason why Ghostbusters (2016) sucked so bad.

see we need a story where the mask is just a horror movie . i don't give a shit about the gender, everyone who wore the mask was an ashole. Ipkis was a loner with a girlfriend who berated him so once he puts on the mask he feels like he can ennact his revenge only to be shot by his girlfriend, then we have the detective calahan ; a man of values that gets corrupted once he wears the mask, but it's just so powerfull that out of fear he burries it in concreete, ipcki's girlfriend was the only one with a little control over the mask, but she only used it as a last resort. other than that all that wore the mask abused the power or didn't know what they had in their hands. there's only one character that the mask doesn't work on and that's because he is OP enough as it is ! i don't care that the mask is now a woman. i care that it won't do anyhting new with it.

Walter is the biggest mystery of the comic . and i love we never got an explanation, he is just a fucking powerhouse. hopefully they don't put him in so they don't screw this mosnter of a man up
I love how in a comic about a mask that gives people supernatural powers and turns them insane the biggest mystery is a big guy.
