how a world gets corrupted by darkness and see how that changes the place.
you already know, it gets smashed to bits, simple as, Darkness and Light function the same as they do in the Final Fantasy verse, in all FF games, Light and Darkness are elements, and too much of either causes severe, world ending problems, however both function differently, Light crystalizes and entropies everything, it is the slowing/stopping force, meanwhile Darkness is the active force, it causes chaotic changes, destruction, rebirth, creation, but mostly massive division and strife.

same is true in Kingdom Hearts, since they took the same ideas into that game series, when Darkness takes a world, it smashes it to bits and all those bits fall on each other and can be seen in The End of the World in KH1, when Ansem says all worlds come from Darkness, he isn't being egostistical, its true, all Worlds need Darkness, the element, to be created, and Darkness spurs the creation, evolution and building of the world and life.

"Darkness wishes to return to light for hearts with only darkness and without light cannot contain the light required to shine against the darkness within our hearts that lie in the hearts of darkness in a world without light where no heart can embrace the light and defeat the darkness." Xehanort's cocaine buddy.
