Great singer but too niche. She's more famous for being a female voice in other peoples songs like a little piece of heaven

All of Dave Wenger's music is pretty obscure.

Despite his rough singing his bands are all fucking amazing in some way.

Same singer behind Ache Hour Trio which I posted as the OP.
Never realized Moral Decay and Breakwater shared members. It's too bad neither band got more music.
Excellent post hardcore/math rock band from Oklahoma City. They sound like an honorary Kansas City MO band from the same era. Their early stuff is top notch, their later stuff is 50/50.
k1d is a great channel for obscure bands; the best part is that all their uploads are sourced from Bandcamp, so you can buy the albums instead of having to rely on dodgy file uploading services.
I thought I had a lot of obscure music on hand, but since I last checked a lot of those bands had gotten onto Spotify and now court dozens if not hundreds of thousands of listeners a month, gotten albums reissued, the works. Damn them all, I can't call myself a hipster anymore. At least these bands don't let me down:
Mid-80's LA Post-Punk band. A lot heavier on the atmospherics than their contemporaries; I've seen some draw comparisons to Coil. No, they're not related to the other Drowning Pool. Not much to say here, though I wonder how this band was able to sprout up in 80's LA. A shame.
British Emo band, more aggressive than the likes of American Football but still pretty laid back. Apparently British Emo bands got pretty big in the 10's, but 90's/early 00's stuff like these guys, Bob Tilton, The Little Explorer, and etc. are still overlooked. A crime.
Robbie Basho is actually pretty well known, but his final album was chucked onto a shitty New Age boutique label and escaped notice for many decades. Even now most don't realize that the whole thing was remastered and thrown onto Bandcamp courtesy of smeraldina-rima over a decade ago. A crime (that more people don't know about this).
90's Prog Rock band, draws a lot from the Chicago post-rock/math rock scene of the day. I'm not sure if these guys were all that obscure in their heyday, they were able to tour Japan (of all the places) before disbanding. What I do know is that between their music getting wiped from Spotify (thank Southern for going tits up) and reissues being trapped in hell due to their frontman dying (only 41 btw), the band's music is now a little hard to access. The worst part is that the people who do seek out their music are tools and queers who think Black Country New Road is the pinnacle of rock, and come away bitching and moaning that the music isn't weepy enough for their fruity tastes. A god damned war crime.

I actually purchased a CD of that Traindodge album to rip because I couldn't find a good rip of it on Soulseek at the time like 6 years ago. Funnily enough, the next time I looked on there there was a FLAC upload.
KCMO space rock/post hardcore group, fronted by the guy who was previously the frontman of Shiner (absolutely 10/10 band, could post them here too)
Once again, their early stuff is great, their later stuff is hit and miss.

Here's I Wanna Be Inflated by Daddy's Hands.
For archival purposes. This song, this music, it just understands me. It has a perfect mix of grit, emotion and also beauty. For me, it's one of the best discoveries I've made this year. To some it'd be a garbled, shitty mess. To me it's a masterpiece.

Blood goes flat
Defend my corner and never let myself look sad
What motivates you to approach my chair when I'm paralyzed in a sitting dance
Paralyzed in a sitting dance
Paralyzed in a sitting dance
Paralyzed in a sitting dance
Paralyzed in a sitting dance
Paralyzed in a sitting dance

Communication loves an enemy
How awake? How awake?
Communication loves an enemy
How awake? How awake?

Blood goes flat
Defend my orders and never catch myself struck dumb
When the maggots sprout wings and I'm paralyzed in a sitting dance
Paralyzed in a sitting dance
Paralyzed in a sitting dance
Paralyzed in a sitting dance
Paralyzed in a sitting dance
Paralyzed in a sitting dance

Communication loves an enemy
How awake? How awake?

Nice.
I like this one https://daddyshands.bandcamp.com/track/pickled-lenin

A punk album I stumbled upon randomly a decade ago. What stood out to me was, obviously, the cover art.
Released on Load Records in late 2016 (which shut down in 2017 lol), Cum Inside Me Bro is a pretty noisy and riff-heavy experience. There's not even an artist description on the Bandcamp except a defunct download link, so I really have nothing to add except someone made it and it's there. They never released any other songs. It's still on Spotify, for some reason.

When it comes to more mainstream 90s bands, the entirety of SPONGE has been pretty much submerged compared to the others. And they're still ongoing, making new albums, pretty much playing live at bars and stuff for beer money lmao.

And it's a damn shame. These guys could have been bigger if they focused on that feel their first album gave me. So fucking beautiful. Got me through summer school in COVID thx to an album uploader on YouTube called Gal Godonut. Nostalgic as hell.

Cowboy Eyes (should've been on their rotting pinata album)

Welcome Home

Lead singer Vinnie Dombrowsky's biggest claim to fame was being featured on Space Ghost: Coast To Coast very briefly before being cut off for a joke lol. And then being like the first guy considered to replace Layne Staley of Alice In Chains after he passed, which I can kind of see, but I've always known no one replaces Layne and the band should have ended there. He also was one of the rare 90s singers to survive their heroin and drug addictions if I remember correctly.

Another one I remembered, Eggnogg. Found them from their stranger on the moon song years ago.

Cydonia.

Vinnie was in a short lived band called Crud in the 2000's, they had 2 songs licensed out for a Test Drive game.

I think this is the funniest fucking thing I've ever listened to. Japanoise duo featuring Yamantaka Eye that existed as support for another band (Brutal Truth) on their tour in Japan. Legit just a Japanese dude screaming Engrish into a mic with a fuck ton of feedback while the drummer goes apeshit.

Basically, Dr Dan is a very successful lawyer, former aerospace engineer and now he decided his. Dream is to be a. 1990s. Guy who sings music and explains his music. I really try to dislike this guy, but he's just. As a very positive attitude and we need more positivity.

Niil' was a brazillian trio grunge/alternative band, mostly known for their self titled album that released in 2012. The lead singer was a Kurt Cobain mega fan, so much so that it shaped his singing style. This led to people thinking they stumbled upon lost Nirvana tracks, I don't know specifics all I know is being digital release only and not uploading their albums to YouTube, was why the misconception happened. And was further misconstrued by people uploading their songs to YouTube credited as Nirvana songs, eventually it was straightened out and the band let people keep the YouTube uploads up if Niil' was credited.

The band eventually moved away from the Nirvana sound which is where I stopped following them, then some time later the band broke up without warning.

Castor, short lived emo/post hardcore band from Champaign Illinois. This is definitely their best album. Nice mix of heavy shit and more mellow stuff.

This was Walter Schreifels short lived band after Quicksand and before Rival Schools. There's a lot more to this bootleg (some really rough demos/practice/jam sessions) and IDK why the vid uploader didn't include them in the video.

Chicane released a handful of singles and EPs in the early 90s. They were jangly indie pop with elements of shoegaze. The music sounded like it might have legs, but the band petered-out before releasing an album. The closest they came was a compilation of their slender body of work with a couple of new songs bolted on at the end.

A few years later, a different band, also called Chicane, had some chart success, which effectively erased the legacy of the former group. I know at least one of the band were involved in those song mash-ups that were briefly trendy, but it doesn't seem like any of the members went on to other musical projects.

Chicane - Sunrise

Chicane - Wanderlust
