Just bass and drums, nothing else. No vocals or samples. I think I could call the bassist an inspiration of mine, even though his technique is terrible. Saw those guys twice and they put on a good show. I think they've split up, unfortunately.

Not really sure where else to put this, but anyone who has been around in the UK punk scene a bit should have come across Captain Hotknives. He was hilarious, truly unique (as a performer, not saying his music was original but lyrically definitely) and always a joy to watch, could work a crowd like few can and always had everyone singing along.

I learned this via the Facebook page of the excellent Rash Decision but seen it confirmed a few other places,

In homage I will post this, one of his funniest songs, if you can't feel the joy of the about 10 people in this crowd emanating from this video I don't know what to say:

I had a few brief chats with him, smoked some hash with him, great guy but troubled, like most drawn to punk.

Probably no1curr but I just wanted to honour him somewhere.

ETA: some of humour might not land if youire not British, or even northern.
