Slop Trek is written in an unintelligent lazy manner. Often resorts to slangs and curse words because the writers cannot communicate the character's feelings otherwise. The people of the 24th century are not saints, but they do not behave like a stereotypical African American from the 21st century either.

If you actually enjoy Nutrek on a level that goes beyond laughing at a pathetic car crash, then you are genuinely stupid. You have been tricked by the least competent writers and producers in Hollywood.

I actually haven't watched any nutrek. JJ Abrams killed trek, and I have no interest in its current bloated zombified form. But, just because you didn't catch it, doesn't mean Kirk, Riker, Picard, and even Spock haven't let slip a "damn" or "hell" on rare occasions, usually when circumstances would make it human to do so.

Like I said, it was a quick search for star trek and cursing. Of fucking course that's gonna lead to reddit autism. And of course nutrek is gonna have much more cursing, its made for the lowest common denominator market, a.k.a. reddit and the rick and morty crowd.

Your puritanical autism is misplaced, it should be aimed at reddit. I simply noticed it and shared.
 
I like SNW but I suppose in the same way that a battered wife who gets walloped daily by her abusive husband finds his after-beating lovebombing adoring and sweet. It feels right, but inherently the whole thing is wrong and liking it is probably part of the problem in of itself.

Nothing will be fixed until every single person involved with this shitpile right now is fired. I’d rather have Berman and Braga in charge. At least they casted cute women.

You are better off finding a better husband, AKA another sci-fi show. Everything you like about the show will either get screwed over or just forgotten about by the writers and producers.
 
My biggest baffling thought is, why the heck did JJ Abrams approve of the giant ass Enterprise that was larger than the D? I know he’s not an Trek fan and is an Star Wars fan but did he have to scale it up like crazy and give it the big goofy ass nacelles?

Here’s an comparison between the JJ Enterprise and the Discovery one.

I don’t know why, I just think the 2009 one looks like an mockery of the original. The curved pylons, the nacelles being too close and the nacelles themselves are too goofy looking.

Isn’t Braga doing For All Mankind right now?

I like the show up until season 3. I’m sorry, I’m a staunch fan of Eyes Turned Skyward and I feel like the Alternate 1995 and 2003 feels too fake and farcical. I think they jumped the gun with Season 3. Then again Season 1 and 2 had their fair share of farcical moments like the nuclear space shuttle or the Sea Dragon.

Personally, I prefer the Saturn Multibody from Eyes Turned Skyward.

iirc bigPrise was because he rewrote things badly after filming at the brewery

my only knowledge of ModernTrek post FlareTrek 2 is that part where Data and Lore have their final showdown guest starring Spot, and that part in Lower Decks where somebody uses the Kirk-style double fist axe handle overhead punch on a random monster and its super effective
I suspect I'm better off that way
 
I like how there's now a separate thread for this. Current Year Star Trek is like a different series.

That's interesting because in season 5 of Enterprise they were planning to bring back plots from The Animated Series. Of course Paramount opted out to take the worst route possible with the future of the franchise and cancelled season 5.

The life support belts were retarded. TAS also had an episode where the Enterprise goes into the center of the universe and discovers that Gods actually live there. They brought that back in Star Trek V and it's just as dumb.

Star Trek canon is basically what you make it because some writers did not have any foresight whatsoever.
