It sure sounds that way but from what I understand they told him to move his car at least twice before the shooting started. That kind of kills the ambush angle for me, he could've shot without ever being spoken to in a place like that. It's weird like it has hallmarks of being planned and a skitzo break all in one. Yeah, I'm not really sure what to think about that since the sequence of events is really sketchy. You also have to keep in mind the sheriff stated that they pushed his car into the embankment so he wouldn't be able to use it to flee.
