I haven't seen a Nolan movie in a very long time, but I feel like I don't remember his directing being so.. bad? I'm not watching more than 10 or 15 minutes, but for a film that is over 2.5h, every scene feels too quickly paced. During dialogue shots barely last a second or two, with cuts between time periods, shot/reverse shot, and environmental shit all mixed together while the dialogue plays over it. Dialogue that just aids in making it all feel like a mess, as it really doesn't mesh with with the tone or what is on screen.
Actually, continuing to watch, maybe the editing is just fucked. There is a scene around 13min in, where the shot has her on his back, climb off, and look him in the face, but it cuts like a second worth of the scene to have him speak with no wait. I assume this isn't the cam recorder guy editing the footage?? The fuck is this??
