No, but seriously, I think you are onto something here. I never thought of it before but you're absolutely on point. John Leguizamo wouldn't be alone in that kind of career, however. Its a legitimate acting choice to star in bad movies whether for pay or just for the love of the game (of bad movies). Or simply a trash manager. I tend to enjoy actors who purposefully and without shame star in bad movies. Like the one woman from Mean Girls who stars in all those Hallmark movies. Bless her.

Being made in the early to mid 2020s gave this movie no hope for being as great as it should have been for the title and original works.
