Nintendo Switch 2 - For the Soytendo consoomers to speculate about the successor to the Switch, recently announced for 2025.

You're right, nothing ever works, nobody ever hacked anything, Wii and Wii-U Homebrew users must just be imagining things.
Dude, this is nothing like the Wii or Wii U, where the console security was practically nonexistant, nor is this an OG Switch sitiuation where there was a flaw with the SoC that bypassed any real challenge. finding a jailbreak with the Switch 2 is going to take a long, long time and given what is known about it's internals, even as early as launch day, even something neat like another way to launch the web browser will be moot without proper permissions to do more than the bare minimum the game you'd exploit from is allowed. If you have a problem with this, take it up with the people who are actively trying to jailbreak the Switch 2, who will tell you the same thing I am in far higher detail.

Nobody has found a software exploit for the Switch 1, it only got hacked because of the aforementioned hardware exploit, mod chips abuse the same exploit by shorting pins on the SOC. Switch 2 has a RISC-V co-processor specifically just for security, it runs instructions across two CPUs and if they don't match it locks down, it checks for voltage irregularities and if it detects them it locks down. Nintendo is run by a business man now, not a game developer (Iwata), they DO NOT want a repeat of the Switch 1 regardless of how much money they made they still "lost" money they could have been making. The only way I ever see Switch 2 emulation or exploits happening is if there is another gigaleak with source code or design specs or something and even then you need to break encryption on the games if you even manage to figure out a way to dump them, which without being able to just dump the keys from a modded console is another near impossibility.

If you have a problem with this
I have a problem with your brainless pessimism and general faggotry, not the people actually, y'know, trying to do stuff. Since you defer to them so willingly, how 'bout you shut the fuck up about shit you admit knowing nothing about and leave the "wouldn't it be neat if..." thinking to people with something besides hopelessness in their hearts?

All exploits are non-existent until someone finds them and actively exploits them. Just because an exploit hasn't been found yet, does not mean one will not be found in the future. There have been multiple consoles over the years that were considered "unhackable" at some point and have since been hacked.
