Nintendo Switch 2 - For the Soytendo consoomers to speculate about the successor to the Switch, recently announced for 2025.

Take this with a huge grain of salt:
New Metroid supposedly revealed.

That guy who leaked the entire motherfucking June direct ….he said Metriod Prime 5 was coming soon so maybe this is legit
The leaks that mentioned the Super Metroid Remake said there would be a buildup to a new one. I know we didn't see Super, but my guess is that this is the new Mercury Steam title rather than a Prime 5. The timing makes more sense 4-5 year development, and the title is eerily in the same ballpark as Dread.

Hopefully Nintendo cracked the whip as hard as they did with Dread. There's a world of difference between Mercury Steam titles developed solo and ones with Nintendo watching over their shoulder.

Every Rhythm Heaven game is a winner.

Seriously it is amazing if you like timing games.

Star Fox's sales is on par with 3D and way higher with digital which we already know its outpacing it based on UK sales alone. Also did not know Adventures debut was that high considering how flacid it wound up becoming.

I wonder though if Mercury Steam will still be the developers, given the troubles they’ve had recently.

On a different note, Nintendo has many, many flaws, but I love how this guy is still trying to downplay them while criticizing Sony’s recent no disc announcement.

https://youtube.com/watch?v=Va3hxq3Z11E
that's just youtubers, ethier they make a big fit while still buying it anyways, wither they admit it in the video or not, or do the video equivelent of mental gymnastics just to try and keep thier audience in the "THING BAD IM RIGHT AND THING THAT IS BAD MUST DIE" train, even when they have to talk about a similar if not bigger fuckup by a different company, else they have to admit that yes, the multi-million dollar company has thier flaws and sins, but they should have thier credit where it is do.

Dispite claiming to have been a former fan, Nintendeen's hatred over Nintendo is so bad that he's clinging onto shit like the stocks still going down (even though they are still really fucking good compared to where it was in the last 10 years, so they arn't failing in the slightest) because *checks notes* GTA 6 not releasing, y'know, the very game that people are upset with it being basically digital only while locking what would be on-disc content behind a $20 paywall and was $80 to begin with, the former of which was what people were pissy over Nintendo doing with Game Key Cards (even though discs have been relegated to the same role due to patches and having to have large swaths of the game be downloaded anyways) and ROM files are extensively just digitalized physical games anyways.

I would say he would be worth a short "laugh at this man" thread if someone actually cared about him, but reddit already has a dedicated group of semi A-Logs doing that, among some other people in the "Nintendo Bad" sphere.

An indie game by the name of Super Animal World "Super Animal Royale" on the Nintendo eShop allows browsing Youtube through an exploit of the game's in-game content newsletter.

You can now slowly browse Youtube like it's 2009 on your Switch 2. Potential avenue for exploit through corruptable video execution? GBATemp trannies say no.

Late news, but a Japanese modder on X by the name of Mizuyoukan (@AT12806379) managed to get the Switch 2 to run an SSD by using a custom PCB use a micro sd express card to pass checks, then utilize the SSD. https://x.com/AT12806379/status/2039467720559968260?s=20

It may be possible in the near future for a mass produced SSD adapter for Switch 2 that utilizes a dummy empty micro sd express thanks to the openly available Github that demonstrates how to achieve this. https://github.com/Ushinbuy/MegaSD-Express

It's a neat thing, but it's nothing special, given how sandboxed everything is and how secured (or rather tightened down) everything has been made, it's like the little ROP exploit with the web browser, it's something that can be done, but it's more or less localized to the browser as it's assumed that it would be possible on the browser so you don't have direct access to anything outside it.

You know what? I've shit on the Switch 2 a lot in this thread, but I appreciate the effort of putting together more knockout tours for Mario Kart World and pushing them out for free. They are desperately needed.

The new Rhythm Heaven might be my favorite so far. That isn't saying much because I'm not a fan, but I really like the creativity and the vibes.
Wii is still the gold standard, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. You can’t be too picky when the last release in the series was a decade ago after all.

The way things are looking right now people are really sleeping on how big Splatoon Raiders and FIre Emblem are going to be.
I don’t see it. The next releases which will drum up some good sales for the S2 will be a new animal crossing and a mainline Pokemon game (assuming Nintendo actually commits to S2 exclusivity).

Yeah journos release statements that Nintendo is going to imminently release improved models of their hardware to tank stock prices and sales.

Remember when the Switch Pro was supposed to come out in 2018?
The Switch Pro was made, and it was released in a gimped form as the Switch OLED. They actually put a vastly improved processor in the OLED, but then made the asinine decision to downclock it. A modded OLED Switch can run games in Docked performance profile while being used in Handheld mode.

Nintendo is run by assholes.
