Gee.. imagine having so little faith in an IP that you'd rather outsource it to Indians than do it yourself, chances are that if it's successful enough, Nintendo's going to put them onto whatever new Star Fox game that's in the style of 64, especially given that the footage I seen of it seems like they didn't fuck up too badly with the single player gameplay

It's basically 1:1 gameplay-wise with the original N64 game. Playing it with the Switch N64 controller was like time travel in a way.

Apparently star fox has no splitscreen multiplayer and there is no regular versus battle mode, only the 4v4 objective mode, so it's hardly a definitive version of the game

I have no horse in this race since I don't have a switch 2 nor am I interested in buying starfox 64 again, but SURELY they could have kept both. What happened to local splitscreen and just having fun with your friends? The splitscreen was the best part of Assault, but now nothing has splitscreen anymore.
