A side note: I believe I am the last person in the universe who played Star Fox 64 and I gotta say the voice acting was pretty good considering the usual “DOCTOR WAAHWEE” shit at the time.

The delivery is perfect for the tone the game was going for. The remake simply won't capture the same kind of vibe, which is fine for what it's worth, but I wouldn't fault anyone for preferring the N64's dub. Hell, I still love it.

Part of that could also explain why they went full greed on the FireRed/LeafGreen emulated rereleases for $20 because they genuinely expected nobody to buy it once the announcement happened and would rather have had it be on NSO if it didn't do well... then 4 million people thought that was a good deal so what do I know.

FireRed and LeafGreen's re-releases keep all the stupid parts (like replacing "Gambler" with "Gamer", with "I'm a ramblin', gamblin' dude" with "I'm a ramblin', gamin' dude") while also adding MORE shit to it, like backporting the censorship filter, so you can't name your rival "NIGGER" or your Caterpie/Weedle as "Penis" (for a cheap "Penis used Harden" joke).

I'd feel bad for a pokemon named Penis or Shit and the like, the early pokemon anime touched upon pokemon abandoned by their trainers and that's just a sign the pokemon is basically unloved by their trainer.

I'd imagine when a holodeck gets invented and a pokemon holodeck game is created, those names wouldn't be allowed in there either.

I've been thinking of getting a Switch 2 recently. I had a Switch 1 years ago but sold it as I wasn't using it much.

I know I can just emulate S1 games and the game library is kind of shit for S2 at the moment. Think the only stuff I'm interested in playing is that new Mario Kart but considering getting one as there's no other consoles im going to buy any time soon.

I did pick away at pokopia quite a bit and finished the story. But I find i prefer something a little more structured with clear goals and objectives, I'm pretty aimless in the playing. On payday i'll get the Yoshi game and that should be fun.

I'd have to wait and see for GTA6, 1 in 4 to 1 in 5 of all the staff working on it are located in India alone, not including jeets in other countries...
It's possible they pulled it off but this is the era where games are flopping one after another and the developers refuse to acknowledge why. Even nintendo is having a hard time making something to beat BOTW or their other big hits of the past.

Nintendo shaken up a little bit? Sure. "Crumbling from the inside"? Lol no. And I say this as someone who's grown disenchanted with Nintendo as of late. GTA VI cost a billion for marketing? The first Mario movie ALONE made that much back at the box office, with the sequel well on track to matching it. Fake Kiwi and his bootlickers also seems to forget that Nintendo is a hardware company in addition to a software company. The Switch is the second best selling console of all time (closing in on the top spot even regarding Sony's last minute 3AM console dumps). They gonna be alright.

Nintendo won't give a single shit about GTA 6. It's stupid as fuck to compare a game that took 13 years to develop to games that Nintendo shits out each year like Pokemon. Sure GTA 6 will out sell every single Pokemon game easily, but all 9 Pokemon games Nintendo has released since GTA 5? I doubt that.

Wait for the inevitable June direct and if nothing catches your eye give it another year. If this generation is anything like the last this console is going to be around for a long time.

As a fellow Mario Kart enjoyer who currently owns a Switch 2, Mario Kart World is pretty good, but not as good as 8 and not worth the price of buying a Switch 2. Wait until there's a game you really want to play like a new Mario or Zelda and get that + Mario Kart.

When you used to buy a Nintendo console, you were pretty much guaranteed it would get at least a 3D Mario, new Mario Kart, New 2D Mario, Smash Bros and New Zelda within the 2-3 years of release, but that's no longer the case. Because they ported deluxe versions of so many Wii U games, it took six years to get an exclusive 2D Mario and Zelda on Switch 1 and it didn't get a new Mario Kart at all. Now early in the Switch 2's life, we're already getting a lot Switch rereleases. I'm not saying stuff like a new Mario and Zelda aren't coming, I'm saying it's no longer the guarantee it was 15-20 years ago, so don't take for granted that they'll be there until they're announced.

GTA VI is going to be controversial as you know it will be woke, not to mention likely shittier than anticipated due to modern devs and outsourcing. It’s a decent device and the lineup is solid, but not groundbreaking. Kirby Air Riders is a definite highlight I know will be overlooked here, so go for that one after Mario Kart.

There is a very real chance that GTA 6 will not be all that. Games dont cook for 13 years and come out not a little burnt.

They have also gotten rid of everyone who made the previous games. It also is going to have a female protagonist, microtransactions out the wazoo, and be a live service first game. Its also a series known for edgy irreverent humour and they got rid of the people capable of that. No one believes you will get to shoot a hoard of crack addicted niggers or fuck a prostitute and then shoot her to get your money back from these people.

It will sell out the wazoo the first month guaranteed. It may fail to make its money back when its all said and done. Its going to split the GTA online player group and have to have more and better features and content than that game and has the tall task of moving that games player share to it while also growing the player share. Traditionally thats been a hard thing to do for live service games.

Its really bizarre that we havent seen more explicit teasers and spoilers already. There was the major leak of course. But they arent showing the game off much. Its very likely just going to feel like an iteration on RDR2 and not live up to the hype. There is definitely some smoke that points to a fire.

Both Botw and Mario Kart World are halfway there to a full GTA game, in order to actually make it Nintendo would have to smoosh Mario Kart, Mario Party, and Mario 3D into one game.
