I would say that LEGO City*Undercover disagrees with you.
Outlier.
Outlier not even made by Tendo.
Outlier whose audience were the opposite ends of the GTA fandom; kids with parents who refused to allow them to play GTA and compromised, and adults who knew a good parody when they saw one. Neither of these are the core GTA fandom.
Specially not in 2013 when tweens and teens alike were spouting bullshit like “I’m 13-14 but I’m very mature for my age. I get GTA better than most adults.”

And also: Nintendo is going to make a Nintendo "GTA" just you fucking wait.
Good. Grand Theft Mario; New Donk City has been a long time coming.
Luigi, we got a pimped out ride!

Sounds like Nintendo Direct next Tuesday. Going by leaks, we are likely to see more of Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, Splatoon Raiders, and Duskbloods. New games announced will be Switch Sports 2, OoT Remake, Pikmin 4 Switch 2 Edition, and another Xenoblade Switch 2 Edition. I also remember hearing rumblings for Yoshi's Wooly World getting ported.

Kind of a soft line up this year. Nothing bad, but nothing spectacular. Switch 2 is a very soft-start console that really needs a big hitter by some point. People are saying Smash for next year, which, by God I wonder what that will look like given Sakurai has been busy - maybe it will be a much more scaled back game more akin to Melee/Brawl.

Both Botw and Mario Kart World are halfway there to a full GTA game, in order to actually make it Nintendo would have to smoosh Mario Kart, Mario Party, and Mario 3D into one game.
If I could play as Mario/Luigi, Bowser, Link, and the other major leads from the Mario and Zelda games and travel through a reasonably-well-realized Mushroom Kingdom or Hyrule and fuck shit up for fun, that would absolutely be a banger of a game.

THIS LINEUP SUCKS. BRING ON THE PLUMBER!

Xenoblade Switch 2 Edition
I don't think there is any actual source for this, people just made it up. There is no fixing 2 unless they re-do the entire localization and retool half the game, it was so rushed and unfinished on a fundamental level and then the localization raped the script on top of that.

For the autists that care about Xenoblade, what is more likely is a sequel to Xenoblade X being announced either this year or next year, based on an old interview from 2018 for the release of the Xenoblade 2 OST where they outlined their plan to first do Xenoblade 3, and then do a sequel to X.

Takahashi wants to make a dark and mature game

And they talked about wanting to do surround sound and dynamic music

Everything they wanted to do happened, Xenoblade 3 happened and has 5.1 surround and dynamic music, and Xenoblade X got a Switch port that set the story up for a sequel, which going off this interview is what would happen next, probably with a mature rating and darker subject matter since Nintendo seems to be content with letting him do whatever he wants, and they recently had that Emio game made by EPD rated M.

LADS. Switch 2 can run the new ff7 remake at a solid 30fps, docked and undocked. In some cases it actually beats the xbox s

not really a shock the new tech product that isn't shackled to being another variation of another tech product rather than being a follow up to one. I can tolerate 30 FPS more than most people seem to, but the fact that the Switch 2 ports are able to keep up with the older consoles is probably the most refreshing thing to see with a nintendo console given how much that usually is the opposite way.
