I want another sequel to Xenoblade but apparently Gamefreak is too retarded to use 3d software and fucked Gay Arceus Game to hell and Monolith now has to dig them out.
speaking of xenoblade, i recently listened to the hole OST of Xenoblade chronicles X and it made me a bit nostalgic for it. it was alot of fun chatting it up with people on /v/ since we all were new players to the game and would give eacother advice and just talk about what we found in the world. it pains me we will never get X2.

I really hope the day Miyamoto retires or dies, Mario games will have some creativity and character again, i just played Paper Mario The Thousand-year Door for the first time recently, and it feels really bad that things will go downhill from now on.

In that case, once Miyamoto is no longer in charge of the Mario games, what are the chances that a hack writer (or someone else) pulls a Neil Druckmann and kills Mario off, and replacing him with someone else, just for the sake of Subverting Expectations?

I'd buy an X remaster, but they have to unfuck those online components. The Online boss had a bunch of stuff linked to it that required you to be there the moment it was killed. Now it wasn't hard to withstand the thing since a ton of builds existed where you could just slash the thing to hell. But it was also on a timer too. And it only died when it's thousands of HP bards were depleted collectively by the server.

yeah i would like to replay it someday but with online dead, it would very annoying.

Is Miyamoto really the greatest problem with the Mario series? Sure, he has stated he doesn't want Mario games having a deep story (or however he said it), but hasn't he worked on games that had somewhat deep stories?

How exactly did Miyamoto cause the paper mario games after TTYD (excluding origami king), gameplay wise, to become this overly simplified?

Was going to put this on the Grand Theft Auto thread, but our favorite Nintendo Switch fanboy thinks the recent news about the GTA Trilogy being remastered will include being on the Switch for the first time.
It better come with the UK expansion pack, that's literally the only reason I'd shell out money for it.

If it's GTA 3, San Andreas, and Vice City that makes up the compilation I'd skip it because I have a feeling that they would use the already existing and inferior mobile versions.

I seen an article somewhere that the devs might be making it to be "more appropriate for an modern audience."

As in, no more of this.

I suspect Rockstar contacted the guy doing those PSVita ports of all the Android versions of their games and commissioned him to fart out a few on Switch.

So I guess that's like the hundredth platform you can play the 3D trilogy on. Its been 6 years since the last GTA, I dunno, maybe including the Stories games or at least giving them their own bundle would be nice, like I think Vice City Stories is kind of obscure and would do really well considering just how overlooked it was.

Crosspost from the Western Animation thread:
Apparently the Teen Titans Go! creators are in charge of the Mario movie coming out next year. How are Nintenspergs taking this news? About as well as you'd expect:

They also left out that Nintendo now has Multiple Deals with Netflix and are looking into more US based animation projects at this point because they're already figuring the Mario movie will be a success.

Also that famatsu sales list they've been making a big deal out of really just showed nothing new. Those were mostly all Nintendo exclusives, they're noting risque or envelope pushing. You can go back and find similar lists that gave the same series but they were split between their portable and console.

There are no Netflix Nintendo deals.
Netflix isn’t even on the switch.
Netflix + Nintendo is just pure soy bait from online journalists. They’ve been saying Nintendo shows from Netflix were imminent since 2016 and they never actually materialize.
