Why does the text hint for the new rating show up underneath it, when all the others are above them?

Maybe use a normal image, supported by every browser, instead of relying on a fucking emoji?

Installing fonts-noto-color-emoji on Debian added the missing emoji to chromium.

It will probably work the same for Windows/OSX users: https://www.google.com/get/noto/help/install/

I have a problem with it being loaded before every other emoji, if we have to choose, it has to be twitter/discord emoji

Unlike the other ratings which are actual images, this is just a unicode character. It's entirely font dependent about what that comes out as, the standard just defines vague shit like "man thinking".

This might seem slightly petty, but I'm not a big fan of unicode ratings and I'll tell you why:

Every OS, mobile phone and whatnot has their own rendering of the emojis and they can be totally different in tone and character.
If I rate something using whatever emoticon I wish, the point I'm trying to make could be completely diminished or even misconstrued due to the different way vendors choose to implement the emoji.
The most well known example would probably be the seductive dancer / elvis impersonator: https://www.emojibase.com/emojilist/dancer

Also the steaming pile of shit / happy smiling icecream comes to mind. I'm happy to be shown why I'm retarded, please do, because from a bandwidth perspective obviously unicode is superior.

Subjective interpretation is definitely an issue with Unicode. One way people get around this is by creating their own font set with just the emoji's they want, assign it to the "Private Use Area" and then have the users download the font like a CSS file.

Twitter does this, you sometimes see their icons switch mid-load if your internet is slow.

Interesting. I guess that would be one solution, but it would require [admin] to do some actual work and I know a lot of people that have custom fonts disabled for security reasons amongst other things. Would be easy for malicious admin to craft questionable URLs using his own font if he was so inclined.

My old-ass Android has little to no emojis it supports, so its an empty box for me as well.
