It's baffling that they can't see the irony of opposing an expansion of the state's power over your medical decisions in 2020 then immediately pushing a similar expansion the state's power 2021 onwards. Nationalizing abortion would be a disaster for them anyway; a slight majority (low to mid 50s) are in favor of the status quo on abortion nationally, if pro life activists think their standard would be adopted, they have another thing coming. State level abortion is the best they can hope for, and it's amazing that some of them are still pushing this dead end approach after having lost battles in states like Kentucky and Montana (there are technical reasons for this, such as pushing for referendums in low turnout elections, all of which seem to go over the DeSantoids heads).
