Never Back Down '24 / Ron DeSantis' Online Influencers / The DeSantoids - Florida Man Violates Federal Regulations to Hire Internet Retards, Nukes Own Career

Rolling Stone put out an article on the Trump-DeSantis feud. (A). Despite the title, it mostly points out Trump's mild peace offerings were ignored by Meatball. But it does make an interesting claim.

Once again, Loomer is wiser than she has been given credit for (she seems to be pretty knowledgeable on FL politics, even if mildly insane). I agree with basically everything she says here:

looming.png

Something was screwy in RonLand from day 0, the people he recruited, and the message they put out there. I saw someone on twitter (did not save, wish I had) saying she went to a meet and greet with then-Congressman DeSantis early on in the Trump years. She was stunned that when she made a comment about 'glad for Trump to have allies like you in the house' he almost seemed bothered by this comment. I wish I had asked her more about this, but it makes me think Ron has never actually liked Trump and probably hated him the same as any NeverTrumper. Remember, this is the guy who was defending the Iraq War still in 2012 in his book that no one bought.

Anyway, Fight Club spent Saturday bitching and moaning that the primary was unfair and they'll never unite with the rest of the party because Trump crossed lines never crossed in any primary ever while the media covered for him.

Unroller link to the long ass thread. (A)

tl:dr: We picked a dumb fight and are mad we didn't get the kid gloves.

This is hilarious now that it's out that disgruntled Ron staffers went to Team Trump before Meatball even announced with the inside info of how to push his buttons and it worked perfectly. What ever plan for social media they had, what ever money they spent, it took two tweets to completely destroy it and reduce it to a personal cat fight between Casey and Loomer. Ron's clearly still running for the goal of making it to a brokered convention, and to be fair is looking better, but his social media presence can be completely neutralized by a single sighting of Loomer at a rally. If they're not doing to themselves by demanding the entire conservative movement condemn Brandon Dilley for a meme eight months ago that no one on Earth besides them remembers, if they saw it in the first place. They've broken themselves into thinking running ads about Loomer's tweets will destroy Trump.

I don't talk much about the Meatballettes, they're shrill harpies who call the police about the Internet, tone police, and get in retarded drama that belongs in Beauty Parlor. But Wine Aunt DeSantiods are speaking of Trump like 40k Commisars talk about Chaos now.

I don't get it. I have a guy telling me how bad Trump is at hiring people and how competent DeSantis is....then what the fuck was this campaign? Holy hell.

Then again these are people that think when you say "It was stupid of him to have run against Trump" means that Ron should have just "kissed the ring (as they love putting it ), instead of realizing it's because people didn't want him to become damaged goods by standing in front of a train.

Whatever consultant told Ron that all he had to do was talk about Covid lockdowns that were years ago is a fucking idiot. Almost every post by a RonBot mentions covid, like there aren't more pressing matters to worry about.

What struck me is they always tie it in with a promise of a 'reckoning' or 'accountability'. Ron's the Details guy, what does that mean? Prevent it from happening again, sure, but reckoning? They never bring up a broken law, or something actionable. Is Fauci going to be arrested, executed by real Florida patriots? I saw them complain Trump wasn't promising to rescind some medal, is that the reckoning? Like this whole grand jury stunt. Okay, a FL grand jury investigated and concluded everyone sucks except for Ron. Great. Now what? Hell, I just searched Stinson's account for the word 'reckoning' and from yesterday got this.

Make the Democrats apologize? They really didn't think this through.

Make the Democrats apologize? They really didn't think this through.

Another Ron stunt isn't a reckoning; maybe the best that could happen is some kind of Congressional committee (a serious one like the Church Committee) and some kind of policy change at the CDC. That would probably be the best we could hope for (not holding my breath for it though). Not exactly some flashy stunt that TRUE Florida patriots are going to give a fuck about.

Here's the thing though, Ron did basically the same thing as several other Republican governors did at the same time, perhaps even slightly more strict than some (say, Gov Noem). Trump was pretty skeptical about lockdowns pretty early, but since he didn't control the state level ones anyway, what could he do? Send the army to the Gov's mansion in NY state? They never think this through.

And I still see a bunch of them whining that Trump didn't fire Fauci, something he COULD NOT do. He had civil service protection, he was not a political appointee. Again, I think this goes back to RonBots never thinking anything through whether or not something is actually feasible or even legal. They want their stunt NOW, complete with another dumb Ron canned press conference.

.then what the fuck was this campaign? Holy hell.
A guy who can't read social cues decided to just pretend social cues don't exist and he would impress everyone by being technically correct in the most pedantic way possible.
Not exactly some flashy stunt that TRUE Florida patriots are going to give a fuck about.
Maybe just the way my brain is wired but I never liked the idea of going with 'DeSantis is the best legal mind in the race.' I don't doubt it, but the risk/reward isn't there. It just opened Ron up to get bogged down in details most people don't care about with that expectation. If Trump says he wants to do something, no one expects him to crack open the law books and figure it out himself. He's gonna tell a bunch of Jews what he wants done and pay/order them to figure out the details. Like the claim Ron would review the legal arguments of each J6 defendant personally and issues pardons. Learn to delegate nigga.

This actually is news to me. Last time I checked he was friends with trannies (or at least one, Bruce Jenner) and only wanted to ban hormones for minors. I was unaware of any other anti-troon sentiment from him. I'm now much less concerned about the future, so thanks for that.

Article time! (A) This time from the guy who got fired for posting the Sonnerad video. Actually talks about the internet war mostly.
Screenshot 2024-02-13 at 16-43-23 What I Saw Inside the DeSantis Campaign.png

No in depth tell all yet on the internet retards, but it's only a matter of time. Article itself is mostly general, but states there's a higher level of focus on the twitter campaign from NBD than the C suite interviews imply. Good quick read though. tl;dr is Trump sold a vision, Ron sold policies and ideological framework. Also confirms the strange phenomenon that Ron attracts a disproportionate amount of techbros for some reason.

Kaladin update: Spent the super bowl setting the stage for him to get run out of Fight Club.
KaladinAnthem.png

He also defended the He Gets Us woke foot washing ad, which drew the ire of his Evangelical co-workers.
HGU.png

He'll be telling his story of the racism he experienced in the far right for ad bucks soon, I'm sure. No movement on the pedo investigation. The account that accused him went silent over a week ago.

Over at the team who's been tasked with fund raising for DeSantis allies Chip Roy and Tom Massie, they're still not spared infighting. During a space with Fight Club and the two legislators, Rep. Matt Gaetz showed up. At Massie's request he was allowed to speak and got into a verbal spar. Gaetz however is persona non gratia in Ron World, so blame was laid on the host.
Gaetz2.png
'Say When', who was just above calling out Kaladin, would express his frustration at Chris' constant drama and the whole situation.

Gaetz.png
Someone's gonna break and spill the beans.

I read this last night. Only half gets it. But look at these statements -

The DeSantis campaign was largely oblivious to this dynamic. To the extent they were making a case against Trump, it was a political one, based on policy issues or general electability. Trump would float the possibility of executing drug dealers, and DeSantis allies would retort that he had sponsored soft-on-crime legislation as president.

The MAGA offensive against DeSantis was a one-sided war. There was little to no attempt to stage a counteroffensive because the DeSantis team failed to grasp the terms of the battle.

WHAT? Nate needs to read this thread; 'Fight Club' had been doing an annoying online campaign months before 'DeSanctimonious' ever left Trump's lips, or before his online influencers said a cross word against DeSantis. It's the first time a candidate I might have voted for under different circumstances managed to alienate me before he even announced

Some credit in that he admits the weaknesses of Ron that were built in -

Remember, Trump didn't make him do any of these things. Trump could have not even been running and all of this would still have happened.

This morning, after having read it last night, it occurred to me one of the biggest reasons that Ron failed to catch on - he was a policy wonk's idea of a candidate. Nate doesn't quite say that in the article, he's unable to admit that he is the exact thing he is criticizing. Almost like a bunch of establishment GOP types got in a room and thought what kind of policies could you extract from the Trump movement ? But part of Trump's appeal is that he NOT a wonk candidate, and I think is quite aware that there is a cross section of voters who would be completely turned off to him if he was. Ron wasn't going to win Youngstown or other recently democratic city centers like Trump could.

Let us never forget his bold contributions to the DeSantis cause. Crowd funding a light jacket before being shipped to Hoth. Falling off the wagon after Ron lost Iowa and calling a well liked GOTV guy a 'faggot' in a space before waking up and claiming it was edited. Pushaw herself assuring everyone he was just 'taking a break' when he ran from it. Multiple coworkers openly stating he needs professional help.

There were no reassurances from Pushaw this time, and his name has been struck from the tongues of Fight Club.

Not alot new to report on Team Ron, but if you notice pants-pissing replies on GOP Twitter, there remains about a 90% chance it was written by a RonBot:

RonBot.png

I don't remember Wells, but he is one of the bigger accounts with a similar refrain, that because the non-incumbent Trump didn't win 90-100% of the primary vote, it was a 'bad night'. Or, picking up their talking points from Democrats, that Biden won about 91 percent of the same state's primary in a non competitive election with no real opposition means that Trump needed to hit those numbers as well. Or something.

Not alot new to report on Team Ron,
Usual bitching and moaning. Ron's still obviously running in an attempt to make it to a brokered convention, Fight Club is still sniping at Trump and then crying 'This is why we can't unify with low class trash Trumpers!' if called out.
Meatball has hired back Pushaw and Griffen to tax payer funded jobs, so enjoy that Florida. (A)

Meatball would also hold a call with his political allies for the seeming purpose of reassuring them he has learned shit all. (A) He spent most of the time bitching about Trump, making a bizarre claim that Trump will get woke with his VP pick.

RonWoke.png

He acknowledged that a lot of the negativity comes from his former staffers who jumped ship, placing the blame on Susie Wiles with seemingly no reflection on why his ex employees hate him.
RonWiles.png

One participant would reach out to say he found the whole thing weird and suspected Ron was still in.
StillOn2024.png

Meatball himself would not rule it out, denying interest in the VP slot and making the vague statement 'Anything can happen' and repeating the mantra that it was the media's fault he lost.
2028Ron.png

Team Trump would respond.
RonResponse.png

Chris LaCivita, old enemy of Fight Club and future Chief Operating Officer of the RNC would give his opinion. (A)
Screenshot 2024-02-25 at 10-45-58 (1) Chris LaCivita (@LaCivitaC) _ X.png

This retard can just stop any fucking time, but DeSanctimonious is dead set on starting a war with the entire GOP rather than take defeat with humility. I was wondering if LaCivita was another jaded ex employee, but no. He's been shutting down Never Trump movements since 2016.
Screenshot 2024-02-25 at 10-56-48 Chris LaCivita - Wikipedia.png
So Ron's plan is to make a move at the convention, while the COO of the party is a guy who his staff attacked constantly for months, hates him personally and has a background in shutting those things down. Well, he deserves what happens.

He spent most of the time bitching about Trump, making a bizarre claim that Trump will get woke with his VP pick.

Another great example of the "Cargo Cult" mentality of politicians in the USA, using terms and words in situations where it SOUNDS right but not actually understanding what the fuck they are doing.

It's such a insane move, he is commited to lose to a insane level. It literally is the meme of the GOP who needs to be the losers for the DNC. The one time they should "lose with dignity" they can't and keep doubling down. Where is this sort of drive when it comes to making sure that trannies can't groom kids Ron? Or when it comes to stopping illegal immigration?

It's obvious the Never Trumper people are as ass mad as ever, and DeSantis was fully bought by them and still shilling even after they jumped ship to Hayley.

Where is this sort of drive when it comes to making sure that trannies can't groom kids Ron?
He won a minor legal dispute against Disney and thus saved kids, or something.
Screenshot 2024-02-27 at 11-58-44 (1) Max (@MaxNordau) _ X.png
He's also taking credit for Ronna McDaniel stepping down. Ignore the fact it was Trump weighing in that caused it, Ron said it first so it's his.
Screenshot 2024-02-27 at 11-59-17 (1) Max (@MaxNordau) _ X.png

They act like normal people have never seen a politician run for office before and as long as there's just the smallest sliver of plausible deniability everyone will ignore the obvious because technically no one's found Max Nordau's pay stubs. Speaking of, let's check in on the not shadow campaign, because it's the same stuff. 'Oh, DeSantis isn't running, he's leading. Why is MAGA so divisive?'
Screenshot 2024-02-27 at 11-45-52 (1) Max (@MaxNordau) _ X.png
Because it's obvious theater to keep his name in the news. Ron is sending the National Guard to Texas to help at the border! It's 50 admin guys to help with paper work but he totally offered a full battalion. He's gonna unseal the Epstein files! No, not the ones everyone's interested in, the original charge from 2006 and the grand jury. The actual court case is already out. He's gonna investigate the Covid lockdowns! Which has no legal bearing and just got him a press release that said he was right. But he's not running a shadow campaign and really why isn't Trump trying harder to win him over? They'd totally unite, they want to it, but Trump is just too mean.
Screenshot 2024-02-27 at 12-19-41 (1) Max (@MaxNordau) _ X.png

Anyway, Koch pulled his funding for Haley after SC. They're still seething that they fucked up getting the Never Trump money.

Bonus seethe/campaigning:
BuiltToLast.png

They really think campaigns and twitter shills are some arcane secrets the average person is too stupid see.

It would be fascinating to get these people to sit down and take the MMPI
You could feed the results into a computer and it would spit out that Hitler quote about debating Jews and they'd come back the next day and pretend the last debate didn't happen. Let's take this young lady from Michigan. Meatball dropped out over a month ago but she still walked her happy ass down to the precinct, voted for him anyway, and only after Ron didn't pull off the victory would she admit Trump was the nominee. But wouldn't you know it, those darn Trumpers were just so mean to her!
Michigan.png
How smooth that transition from 'we need to accept the results and move forward' to 'down ballot unity'. Just say you're never Trump, why the theater? Speaking of theater, there's an account purge going on. But of course they can't just delete their old posts, they have to make it a thing.
Purge.png

MAGA is targeting them over night! Cryptid Politics and a guy named Nate were falsely reported and suspended!
Nate.png Cryptid.png
Because when you get suspended from twitter what you do is immediately give up any attempt to get it lifted, create a new account under the exact same name and announce to the world you're ban evading. Is this a shift in strategy for these accounts? Are they burning their history for a future pivot?
Screenshot 2024-02-28 at 11-25-49 (1) Nate (@VolckersThesis) _ X.png
No they're just doing the exact same shit with the exact same people. Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with them? Every single thing they do is performative retardation.
"Hey everyone! Watch me shit in my own salad! MAGA is going to be so mad!"
"That's retarded"
"Wow! I can't believe MAGA told me not to shit in my salad. I have no choice now but to shit in my salad."

TDS on the Right is a vastly understudied thing. The two retards are here now:

Edit: Said somewhere that the real sin of Trump to them was bringing the poors in. Well, lol.

Hope this happens. We'd have to move the thread to the Salon with all the bitchy DeSantettes.

Speaking on the unity front and Ron's shadow campaign, University of Florida President Ben Sasse fired their DEI department after Rob passed a bill forbidding state funds to be used for it. DeSantis' in state rival and former governor Rick Scott would congratulate him.

Meatball's just governing folks. Doing good conservatism for the people of Florida. No ulterior motives. These moves are not a pathetic attempt to rebuild his national reputation with out being a team player and his staffers will not get sent in to dog pile you for the sin of not giving him credit for the sun rising.

The article and complaining are the same as ever. Meatball snipes at Trump, Trump staffers warn they'll bury him if he acts up, Fight Club casts themselves as the victims.
Are they seriously complaining that he's getting blowback for being a sore loser? There's an unspoken rule about presenting a unified front for your party in an election year. Memes about Desantis being autistic aside, anyone with so much as moderate knowledge of the political process should be able to understand this principle. You fell short and failed to sway voters, respect their decision and work with their nominee. If Ron wants to have a political future of any kind his best move right now is to convince what remains of his base to accept reality and support the current presumptive nominee while they plan out how to do better next time, assuming there even is a next time for Desantis.
Desantis marketed himself as Trump minus the drama. Letting his most vocal proponents continuously bellyache about the results is not helping him establish that image. Instead of doing the smart thing and asking his supporters to lay off and look to the future, he's largely seething in silence while firing off the odd passive-aggressive remark. Yes, Trump was always flippant about the notion of embracing unity in the event of a loss, but you sold yourself on avoiding his mistakes.
