So it seems like they flew out to film a spinoff series about The Rats, then went back and daddy Netflix said it was utter dogshit, turned it into a 70 min 'movie', and put it on the platform with zero advertising or marketing, hoping nobody would notice it.
Season 5 was filed back-to-back with season 4, and season 5 is the last season, so looks like Netflix pulled the plug entirely.

It was the best part of S4, and a high point in the book.
A shame that the show made the rats into a bunch of DND diversity rapscallions rather than the utter cunts they were in the book, and they made the mistake of showing Bonhart merking a Witcher. Part of his character was the 'did he, didn't he' part of killing Witchers, as he's never seen beating one in combat...part of the myth. Given that he was twatted by Ciri, it was probably bullshit.
They have the actor for him though...really talented guy.

This makes the slaughter even more cathartic for audiences. The scene would have been lessened if the Rats had been faithful to the source material.

Probably the one and only improvement, albeit unintentional, the show has over the books and games.

I downloaded the Rats 'movie' just to skip through it and watch the scenes he was in. The actor just dominates the screen whenever he's on. I was worth it for the 5 min he was shown.
