Western leftists wouldn't know real socialism if it raped them in the ass. Any time some flavor of leftard sees anything go wrong with the concept of money, they sperg out on social media and say "SEEEE, this is why we need to abolish capitalism!". Or if you want, you can see cancer like Anthony Fagtano's Twitter feed: he loves to reply to Elon Musk's comments by telling him socialism works based on the fact that Space-X receives rockets from NASA. But at the end of the day, these chucklefucks NEED capitalism to live, and as much as they praise CHAZ and glorify Marx, you know they'd cry like little bitches if they got demonetized on YouTube and people stopped buying their shitty merch.

Anyone who unironically says "SMASH CAPITALISM!" via social media is a special brand of retarded: they completely miss the irony that they're saying that from electronic devices made in developed nations using near-slave labor with ridiculous markup -- not to mention it's all done via big tech companies that generate billions and have monopolies that would make JD Rockefeller jizz in his pants. None of these leftards could survive a week on a self-sustained hippie commune without leeching off other's resources. For fuck's sake, they tried to grow plants on cardboard.

They're just self-loathing capitalists, plain and simple. Fagtano brags about making more money than his critics when they make fun of him on Twitter, and shoe0nhead sells shitty dolls of herself. They need to throw away the sickle & hammer flag and just embrace capitalism like I do. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go blow my paycheck on a new air conditioner from Home Depot because I feel like doing it and because I can.

What are we talking about again? Oh yeah, Netflix is the big gay homosex. Fuck em.

It's like someone immediately wrenched the controls away and is badly trying to do damage control.

...or the AI has split into two separate personalities and is now fighting itself

The message I see is "unsubscribe from our service, we don't want to be financially solvent anymore". And how can I deny them that?

Aggretsuko seems like a good show, even if it is promoted by the Reddit circles.
Either way, it’s still the season of torrenting around these parts.

Those are some stale comments and jokes on that account, really reaching and failing for that 'We're totally relatable!' feeling. Anyone get a count of how many 'SILENCE, BRAND' responses?

Aggretsuko is a nice show that deals with growing up and not getting what you want in life or having things work out the way you hoped. Which goes pretty strongly against who this idiot running the twitter handle likely thinks. Taking a 5 second moment out of an episode when a character is at her lowest moment in order to yasss kweeen against capitalism shits on the show and gives it unwarranted bad press.

When I watched that episode and saw the subs I wondered if it's what Retsuko actually meant, or if this is another instance of subs being loosely translated by the subber.

The worst part about these social media people is that theyre paid a shitload for this bullshit. They dont give the job to some dipshit in iowa, but to a friend of a friend which means they all end up connected and making like 6 figures because the job has to be able to afford a san fran or Brooklyn apartment. Youd be surprised how many of those fucking commies are making as much as the president yet still whine about capitalism

Trying to be quirky and relatable got old a decade ago with Zooey Deschanel.
Just tell me why your product is good.
That shit. "I'm like, quirky, because I'm different and I'm different because I'm like, quirky~" got old pretty fast in my opinion.
Back on topic, Netflix should just be pointed and laughed at.

I haven't seen the season yet, what episode was the clip from? I'm looking up "capitalism" on jisho.org to see if it's possible the words listed showed up anywhere in the lyrics.

Netfilx is super extra autistic recently. First the pedophilia and now communism.
Before the pedophilia, there was the troon posting on the Netflix account in support of a 'trans kids deserve respect' episode of the fucking Babysitter's Club series. A troon who, of course, turned out to have a public, personal, sexually deviant Twitter account as well.

So the Netflix publicity people are seemingly all zealous idiots I can only hope get fired for being terrible at their jobs.

The dub track has it as "Screw you, capitalism". For context, "capitalism" is "資本主義" (shihon'shugi).

Someone with a better grasp on Japanese can correct me on this, but from what I can gather, I'm legit not seeing anything in the lyrics suggesting Retsuko is calling out the evils of capitalism (by name). This is the fault of the dubbers (particularly the dub guy who does the death metal screaming), and I think the subtitles are following the English dub track more than the actual Japanese.

Fucking hell, Netflix.

Well, Netflix sure doesn't seem to care about the context or most of the plot of anime judging by how they remade Death Note into live action and completely butchered it.

Edit: To add on, this is essentially another western company pulling a funimation on the localization.
