Men’s gymnastics: not showing the other countries routines aside from a few tiny highlights for the primetime show is balls retarded. How are people supposed to know how America compares to the competition? Guess I’ll have to go back and watch the full version on Peacock tomorrow. So gay.
Not only that, but the clips they showed featured gymnasts from the other countries having a bad performance.

The other night, what passed as NBC's "coverage" of men's basketball was a short highlight clip (probably less than 5 minutes) showing various baskets scored by US players followed by the final score. If NBC is trying kill interest in the various events, I'd argue they're doing a good job at it.

Also NBC is showing the medal count in order of total medals as opposed to total golds to make America look less bad.
US media has been doing this for as long as I remember - so much so that I grew up thinking it was the norm.

Gotta watch the whole event live not the highlight reel

Does anyone have a video of the opening? This is all I can find at the moment and it's pretty shitty quality.
Full 4 hour Olympic opening 640p.
Has anyone figured out how to watch the actual sports for free? I have something I desperately need to see, but I'm not quite desperate enough to give NBC money.
Flowstream has it available. It is the NBC TV coverage so ads play constantly. Another option is to turn on a VPN, set the location to Australia, and use a burner email for https://www.9now.com.au/. Third option is https://the.streameast.app/olympicstreams they support watching 4 streams at once.

Now for my own question. Does anyone know where to find recordings of some of the events? Looking for the shooting or archery events.
For some mild laughs. The sad state of the EU.

My favorite sport of all time is Rugby Sevens (it's like rugby but only 7 vs 7 so it's fast and anything can happen). I'll be watching the matches with great interest.

I will also be cheering on Team USA in basketball and track & field. The 100 meters is always exciting so I'll definitely see that.

Hopefully I'll get to catch a lot of it.

How about you?
Rugby Sevens sounds sounds super cool. Ive only had a chance to catch swimming so far but ill make some time to catch some USA basketball.

Edit: Looks like a rematch with South Sudan tonight! Nice.

Aside from Team USA flopping, the PRC hasn’t been so hot either. They didn’t get on the podium in women’s team gymnastics and missed out on gold in the men’s all-around.

Somebody posted an OK link a few days ago, which I downloaded. Would love to share here, but it's 8 GB. So I'll need to reencode it overnight to fit on Litterbox.

The boat parade of all the competing nations is pretty cool imo. But they keep interrupting it with gay performers bearing pink flags and adorned in gay clothes.
I give up on reencoding. Just DM me if you want it.
