1 bullet, 1 target. That's about it.I’ve never watched shooting at the Olympics aside from Biathlon (a winter sport). Is it interesting?

People are arguing that he’s not a man but a woman with “elevated testosterone levels”So who watched the dude beating down the femoid for 46 seconds?
Best I can find, Khelif has XY chromosomes but with a vagina. If Khelif has ovaries then, scientifically, Khelif is female (because female means "produces large gametes"), but I cannot find if Khelif produces any gametes, only that Khelif does not have penis or testes. EDIT: and now some are saying XXY...People are arguing that he’s not a man but a woman with “elevated testosterone levels”
Banning anyone who went through a male puberty from competing in women's sports. That's just an innate advantage even if the athlete uses GnRH agonists to get their testosterone down under the IOC's maximum levels later. Unfortunately this would be impossible to check and enforce. What should society do about such rare cases? No clue. Doesn't seem fair to expect an XX woman to fight an XY person with massive testosterone bonuses, but it also doesn't seem great to discriminate based on genetic, epigenetic, or fetal abnormalities.
In that case she’ll age out and it’s rare enough that it’s very unlikely we’ll see another such thing in our lifetimes. If it was common for them to continuously present an advantage, they could have their own league.Best I can find, Khelif has XY chromosomes but with a vagina. I found speculation that Khelif is missing the Y chromosome gene that produces testes, or that Khelif somehow missed the fetal transformation to male and therefore has the default female body plan, but I can't really find any good sources for any of that. The reporting is kind of a mess, especially with all the internet slapfights.
It seems Khelif is part of the 0.05% (1 in 2000 to 1 in 4000) that are actually intersex. Not gender dysphoric, not AGP, one of the nigh-mythical intersex that the others appropriate to justify themselves. Khelif could still be an opportunist, but it seems more like Khelif got into boxing at a young age and stayed with it due to being good at it due to biology, which is true of many olympic athletes.

she has DSD and/or some form of hyperandrogenism, basically it boils down to her being a woman that produces a shit ton of testosterone. something like Swyer syndrome can give women XY chromosomes and falls under that sort of spectrum.Best I can find, Khelif has XY chromosomes but with a vagina.
A rare genetic condition in which people who have an X chromosome and a Y chromosome (the usual pattern for males) look female. They have normal female reproductive organs, including a uterus, fallopian tubes, and vagina. However, the ovaries do not develop and are replaced by clumps of tissue where they would normally form.
i think the discussion to ban people for how they composed genetically is a bit of a slippery slope, it isn't fair for women to compete with intersex people (see Caster Semenya) but you can argue the same for people who had to swim versus Michael Phelps and Katie Ledecky or sprint versus Usain Bolt. of course they didn't benefit from having more testosterone but they are genetic freaks nonetheless, if you were competing during their reign you were basically shit out of luck, the best athletes are typically those who are genetically predisposed to excel. There have been a handful of intersex athletes competing in women's sports across the years who were raised as women and honestly just have no idea what's going on. Mostly from Africa. It's not fair to them to ban them but it really just needs to be done to make the competition fair for everyone.
Being against the law does not mean there could not be workarounds.keep in mind she's Algerian and being gay is literally against the law there, so i also sort of doubt they would send a tranny to the Olympics out of principle anyway.
No. It's bullshit just to give the Chinese and Indians more medals.I’ve never watched shooting at the Olympics aside from Biathlon (a winter sport). Is it interesting?
Biathlon uses actual .22LR bolt-action rifles, though they look quite weird as they are designed to be as light and ergonomic as possible.No. It's bullshit just to give the Chinese and Indians more medals.
It barely beats male volleyball and 3 on 3 basketball.
Although I would like to try it. My local hardware store is selling air rifles for $100 and I imagine I could set up a 10 meter target indoors.
If they wanted to do that while making it interesting the IOC should just add sepak takraw.No. It's bullshit just to give the Chinese and Indians more medals.
They're in different weight classes, so they won't compete. Imane Khelif is in the 66kg weight class, and Lin Yu Ting is in the 57kg weight class.Ver archivo adjunto 6271703
Will they broadcast this, or bury it? Too lazy to figure out when it is occurring, but I do hope to see the "highlights."
