MY DIETITIANS RULES FOR ME!!!! 11/23/18

It's like a doctor advising someone with lethally high blood pressure NOT to quit smoking, because the added stress could be the last straw.

Yeah I have no beef with the advice, fictional or not. If she came to me for advice I would say something similar, for a couple of reasons.

1. People generally have more success starting with small changes and adding to them over time. She's currently so fucking far away from normal that 3000 calories of Burger King every day would still be a massive improvement to start.

2. Why the hell would I waste my time giving more information or planning until she showed she could handle the small changes?

Especially if this "dietician" follows her, she knows Amber isn't going to follow through on even this, so why bother putting in more effort right now?

Good God. Is she really this dumb? That dietitian is a hack, but exactly what Amber wants -someone to lie to her.
No one calling themselves a dietitian would ever tell someone Amber's size to go ahead & eat out, but watch your calories. What Amber needs to watch is sodium. Her blood pressure right now must be off the charts, so telling someone who is over 550 pounds to eat fast food is a hack. Her heart will just explode one day.
Oh well. She has proved she loves eating more than living, so no big deal. She isn't going to lose a pound.

Are those 10 bottles of hand soap just decorative or what? We've seen her hands and fingernails.

Amberlynn is going to make big changes. She will only go out to eat 3 times a day 6 days a week instead of 7. On the 7th day she can send Becky to pick up the fast food because if she didn't leave the house she didn't go out to eat.

This thread is full of people playing couch-dietitian. :powerlevel: As someone who's been to dietitians and nutritionists for weight issues in the past, the advice the dietitian gave is pretty standard. Large, sweeping changes don't work, you need to start small. That's what she's advised :powerlevel:

I don't think AL is lying about this dietitian and her advice, simply because AL is so dumb about calories that she thinks 3000 calories is too much for someone her size and has typically tried to do 1500 calorie diets in the past. I think the dietitian exists, but I also don't think AL knows how to actually calorie count so will fail at this as well.

The best advice the dietitian could've given her for weight loss is to just watch that clip of the Amberlynn/Becky PDA on loop. Lost my appetite (and will to live) with a few seconds (:_(

Minor 'tism but if she stuck to that diet she wouldn't lose 2 pounds a week, rather more like 2 pounds a DAY. The advice from the dietitian otherwise seems plausible, but a real dietitian would understand how rapidly weight fluctuates when it's that high.

Come on guys, it's not like Amber is too inbred and moronic to dress herself she's just trolling y'all

That poor dietitian ( if they exist ) has their work cut out. Plus, they won't last longer than a week when ALR gains weight.

IF and that is a big if. She is seeing a doctor and a dietitian maybe her next stop should be a psychiatrist because she has more issues than Popular Mechanics.

I don't think she actually wants a psych referral because she's a cheapskate. Same reason she never got a dietitian until some idiot viewer begged senpai to notice her and provide services to her for free

Amber wants her primary care doctor to play shrink but her doc won't change her medication; she will only fill Amber's lexapro and won't do anything else for Amberlynn until she gets some fucking bloodwork, which she has been avoiding for years

Makes sense, at the same time... That's good advise for someone overweight, fat, plus size etc. Amber is livin' IN THE DANGER ZONE. With all the garbage she puts in her body she could just drop dead at any moment for a number of reasons.

It's a bit late for minor changes over a long period of time.

Her side conversations when the camera is still rolling are so annoying. She's like that dog in "Up."

"SQUIRREL!"

It's not cute or quirky, pretending you have no attention span. That shit was obnoxious even in high school. I know, I know. She's still around 15 mentally, but still! When you have such a huge platform of people funding your lazy, gluttonous lifestyle, you could put forth the minimal effort of cutting out the pointless, "Omg, Mumbles is making funny faces at me again!" Nobody cares...

Did anyone catch her "I'm too indecisive to pick my own books, so Becky and I are playing a new game where SHE PICKS..."

Can she not even walk to the den now? lol

haha, I haven't watched yet but the thumbnail of her laughing sums up of the video.

Unless the dietician can find a way to get AL to record what she eats and engage in genuine honesty about her habits and intake, what does it matter if she said AL can have fast food five times a week or five times a day? AL engages in mental gymnastics in a way that I don't think she's even aware of anymore. She's done it too long. The endless justifications and rationalizations and half-truths are just how she thinks now.

So, like, say this dietician said Amber should try go out to eat six times or less a week in an attempt to scale back the number of times she mainlines salt, grease and sugar directly into her aorta. Amber's mind immediately found the way out, the way to eat restaurant fare and fast food several times a day and still claim plausible deniability. The dietician said she should try to go out to eat six times or fewer. No problem! She and Becky left home at 7 pm, got dinner at Texas Roadhouse, went to Walmart, got a snack at the McDonalds inside Walmart, went to the movies, got tons of movie snacks, and got a late night bite at IHOP. She will then repeat this with minor variations five more days. On the seventh day, she can have Becky bring the food home to her and never leave the house at all. So she can now tell the dietician, with a completely straight face, that she only went out to eat six times - because she only left the house the one time each day - and didn't go anywhere at all one day, so there's no reason why she gained another ten pounds.

Her brain is already running on it's little hamster wheel, analyzing the way the dietician presented the plan and finding a way to subvert it. She will find a semantic loophole. When she gains another fifty pounds, it will be all the dietician's fault for not being more specific. Like how Weight Watchers failed her for not making it clear that 20 breaded, fried chicken nuggets from McDonalds is not, in fact, zero point grilled chicken breast. Or like when MFP gave her too high of a calorie limit. Or all of the other ways she claims sensible advice failed her.

If the dietician exists and is not a troll trying to make sure we all have a happy new year when Amber docks in somewhere in the low 600s, she's gonna get a great lesson on how to communicate in such a way that a patient cannot find any ambiguity in meal plans.

The real issue people are saying its kind of stupid is because Amberlynn really leans on the whole "Im a food ADDICT guys, it's a real thing," as a crutch. And she argues food is her drug. It's not all foods, even if she's claiming that we know it isnt--ground turkey doesnt trigger her to binge, she's said counting calories, and fast food and shit like that triggers her binges. She's full of shit, basically.

She was bitching in instagram about food addiction and people letting her eat whatever she wants and bringing her fast food 4 times a day arent enablers, and how it's true addiction because she cant cure it since you need to eat to live, and it would be too tough to actually have willpower to NOT binge on fast food.

This would be someone telling a self-described alcoholic youre going to help them taper off by controlling how much they drink, but then youre going to let their partner (enabler) actually be the one to regulate your drinks. It's not gonna happen.

But lady, by that metric alcoholics are equally tortured. Alcohol is socially acceptable, and youre encouraged to imbibe, it's a part of socializing--you have to choose not to drink alcohol. Its everywhere and youre seen as kind of a square if youre a teetotaler. I mean you need to drink to survive too.

Every addict has to make the choice to get better, has to choose not to give into their impulses and relapse on their drug. If youre going to lean on the "addiction is a disease, and Im an addict" then know that even though addiction is a disease, there is no cure. It's lifelong. There's never going to be some miracle dietician to whisk up and slap the burger out of your hand or knock the bottle out and then apologize because it was their fault anyway for letting you eat McDonalds or get near a liquor store. You always have to be the one to treat your disease and take your medicine--but Amberlynn cant even take antidepressants regularly.

Basically you need to eat to survive but you do not need to eat McDonalds and every fast food joint on that one road on the way to McDonalds to survive. You need to drink to survive, but you dont need to drink a handle of whiskey every three days to survive.

The dietician thing is utterly pointless and everybody knows it, but she's so jolly, laughing in the face of the haters in that thumbnail. What a troll.
