I think it’s pretty clear that she is exceedingly close to becoming legitimately immobile. All of this shit with the backwards shirt and awkward creepy Becky stuff is just a smoke screen. While everyone laughs at her (and gives her the views she desires/needs in order to gorge on fast food everyday) for a backwards shirt, the immobility thing takes a back seat.

I'm not a fan of mukbangs, but at least other people I've seen do them have used napkins or were taught some kind of table manners. There was a crumb on her face until 1:38 and in other mukbangs she's done, like the recent Subway one, food is falling all over her and she wipes her mouth with the sleeve of her top. Just disgusting.

Did anyone else notice that Eric had said he "wanted to see [her] reaction" when she was initially pulling all the soaps out of her B&BW bag, and that he had also asked, "Did you like the others though" when she was lamenting on how "cute" a label for one of the soaps was (and how she had immediately shut off the camera after he had asked)? I think she's definitely just been sending Becky out with her credit card for awhile now- she's trying so hard to pretend that she's not bed-bound. It'll be interesting to see how these next few months play out.

Missed that, but good catch. Yup, everything is slowly becoming a New Fun Game where Becky 'surprises' her with stuff. She's framing it like a cute, bonding couples thing, but really, her world (and her options) are just getting smaller. I want to feel sorry for her, but then I'm reminded of that last Burger King mukbang and her obvious trolling.

This girl believes that she will loose weight eating whatever she pleases even if its not nutritious?!
In that case im going to start eating 2,600 calories of peanut m&ms everyday. Dont worry everyone its just 2,600 calories!
You could lose weight on that. Her problem is--and your problem would be--that it takes very little unhealthy food to get to 2600kcal. Each normal sized bag of peanut m&m candy is 250kcal. You get ten regular size 1.74oz bags per day or just over one pound of total food. I do not have anything to do some measuring, but internet says fewer than 200 individual peanut m&m candies per pound.

She has no trouble polishing off 8 ounces of peanut butter cups for an extra 2000kcal after eating several other meals in a day. This is why she is doomed to failure without drastic changes. Removing 1000kcal per week will do nothing for her when she is consuming around 6000kcal or more per day. It is only 150kcal/day reduction for someone who weights 550lbs.

Her gigantic portions are normal for her. An average person may eat 1500-2000kcal at a buffet once in a while on a special occasion. Average person will reduce intake of other foods on those rare gorging days. She does not do anything like that. Cheesecake Company glutton-size portions are her everyday meal that she eats each and every day. She had no idea what normal portions are or what healthy eating entails.

^which is why dietitians worth anything try to illustrate to their patients "you could have this one shitty fast food meal with no nutritional value, or here's a list of foods and recipes you could eat literally all day and be fine"

which is also why I just gotta roll my eyes until they bust nuts into my brain when I see people in her comments (and here!) like "the dietitians advice isn't bad!". Like maybe it wouldn't be all that bad for someone who had 20-50lbs to lose. Our Gorl has to lose a 6' husky full grown man just to get out of the "immediate risk for heart failure" zone. Slow and steady isn't going to win this race.

It's pretty telling that the "dietician" (and the ones she's supposedly seen in the past) is telling her dumb, popular "tips and tricks" to weight loss like cut the food in half and eat off of a blue plate. Almost as if she just read something online and doesn't have a dietician.

A real dietician would work out a balanced meal plan. They might make a goal like "reduce binging to x times per week", but they'll still put you on a meal plan for your regular meals. And they'll teach you portion control.

And it's really dumb to advise someone who clearly has no self control to cut their food in half and eat the rest later, 'cause that's never gonna happen. Just order less food/only cook a reasonable portion.

Can anyone corroborate her statement that she burns 2,800 calories per day by simply existing? I'm 99.8% sure this is bullshit, but if any nutritionists out there wanna weigh in (lol) it'd be greatly appreciated.

My :autism: math: Amber says she burns 2,800 calories per day just sitting around. People in this forum have said she needs at least 4,000 calories to maintain at her current weight. So this means she'd be eating upwards of 7,000 calories every day to be actively gaining like she is. A few days ago someone on Instagram asked about her binges and she said she doesn't go over 5,000 calories in a day. Somewhere in there, there's a LAH.

For one; Amber doesn't binge. She eats like this daily, every day. That isn't a binge.

Two; Can we hire Ron Perlman to do an intro to shit about her saying 'Hamber..Hamber never changes..'

Not a nutritionist, but I know where your math went wrong.

The dietician told her her completely sedentary TDEE was 2800 kcal, so keeping her body functions going alone puts her at 2800. Separately, KF users have gotten a TDEE of 3000-3800 kcal based on the calculations they've used (Marking exercise level as "sedentary" on most TDEE calculators probably accounts for a little walking or at least fucking standing once in a while). So it's just two different calculations, she probably maintains around 3000-3800 kcal based on the amount of activity she does but the dietitian probably just calculated differently or put it in a perspective Amber could understand. So while she definitely eats over her maintenance or weight loss goal every day, it's probably closer to 4-5000 than to 7000.

Not a nutritionist or a dietician - just a person who enjoys crunching fat numbers.
According to tdeecalculator.net, a 27 year old woman who is 5'3" and weighs 550 pounds has a BMR of 3199. So according to that site she actually burns more calories simply existing than she claims. The site says she needs 3839 calories to maintain her weight.

Let's say Amber has gained 75 pounds since the beginning of the year, roughly 330 days. This number isn't wholly accurate because it doesn't take into account her variable maintenance level as she gains from a lower weight to a higher weight, but at her current weight, she needs to eat 795 extra calories a day currently to gain weight. That comes to 4634 calories daily to gain weight at her current weight of 550.

Her beloved orange chicken from Cheesecake Factory is 1790 calories for the dinner portion. Amber often orders it with an extra cup of rice, which adds another 200 calories, so in one meal - and a relatively modest one where Amber is concerned - she's downing 1990 calories. Let's assume she gets dessert and orders a relatively spartan piece of plain cheesecake, that's another 830 calories. One meal at Cheesecake Factory is more than halfway to her maintenance calories, coming in at 2820 calories. It adds up fast when you eat the sort of food Amberlynn prefers.

BUT...

There are some variables that lead me to believe that Amber is eating more than 4634 calories daily. First, one thing we've learned from all those "10000 calories in one day" videos populating YouTube, the human body can generally handle and process a massive carb load but has a harder time processing fat consumed during a binge (Amber doesn't really binge - she gorges daily and at every meal but the principle is the same). If all the fat those people ate during a food challenge was broken down and used by their bodies, they'd all be morbidly obese in a very fast time frame. A good portion of the fat from cheesecake, fried foods, cheese, ice cream and so on will be excreted without absorption so AL poops out a significant amount of the fat she consumes without it ever converting to increased body weight.

Second, we don't really know how inactive she is. I suspect she walks fewer than 1000 steps a day and is dangerously close to being completely disabled physically. But at her weight she burns so many calories doing the most basic movement that she may be able to consume more calories before she gains. For example, a Harvard exercise study says that a person burns 2.16 calories per pound of body weight per 30 minutes of continuous and strenuous exercise on an elliptical (calories vary per exercise, just pulling elliptical at random). A 140 pound woman would burn 302 calories during a 30 minute elliptical session. Amberlynn would burn 1188 calories. If she has a day wherein she must walk from the back of the parking lot to get into Walmart or she has one of those exercise spurts where she marches in place for a few minutes, she's burning a shocking number of calories because she is so large. Just straining to pass all the undigested fat she consumes would burn a lot of calories at her weight.

My own experiences as a fat wrangler lead me to believe AL is probably eating 5000-7000 calories a day, shitting out a lot of undigested fat, and burning more calories just existing than a simple TDEE calculator can predict.

And this is her #1 problem. If she were just binging occasionally, she would be 200 pounds lighter. She does just eat like this on a daily basis and has for years. Until she deals with this and stops blaming binging and meds for her weight gain, she's never going to address the problem. She eats huge portions and literally crams as much as she can in as fast as she can. Her health would be completely different if she ate normal 5 days a week and binged once or twice a week.

I thought of some things:

One, are we sure this isn't a Farmer who is posing as some one?

Two, I'm not sure if this is a thing or not..but what if it's a college intern, just doing basically a paper on cause, effect, etc? They know Amber won't ever listen, and needed a case of lying to the specialist etc. I'm just going to laugh if some one actually is doing this because they got an easy control case for the person ignoring advice, lying about intake, etc. 'Bitch is gonna die, might as well write it into a paper'

When thinking of AL and impulse control and delayed gratification I always think of the study where very young children are left in a room alone with 1 marshmallow, and are told if they don’t eat it they will get more when the adult comes back. I imagine the marshmallow to be swallowed whole before the door clicks behind them.

Usually impulse control improves with age, but hasn’t it seems with our gorl. If she thinks of something she feels that she needs it right away. Her urges and cravings aren’t BED or the binge monster. It’s just spoiled AL not able to control herself.

She is a cross between Veruca Salt and Violet Boregard. Violet Salt Reid if you will. She’s beyond repair.

Obesity increases the surface area of the body. All that Bath and Body Works would last her a week whereas with humans, would be months and that's assuming the humans spend every night taking time bathing themselves in such products and cleaning themselves with them.

Since she can't stand for more than 5 minutes that is a possibility. It's better that way, I can imagine workers seeing AL's giant shelf ass and praying it doesn't knock over a display or something glass. Or at restaurants they hope when she is standing and walking to the table she doesn't bump her ass on someone's table and food.

I'm not sure what to think of the dietitian. It sounds like that online therapist and that betterhelp site people said is a scam. Not going out to eat for 1 day a week.... but she had that week/s where she said she stayed in her bed the whole time and she still got fatter. Like she said in her Burger King video it's really just to shut people up about it..and she'd consider the burger king "eating in"

lol IMAGINE that someone has made AL their blind case study for some kind of report on delusion/obesity/BOLTH and is posing as a dietitian to just feed AL advice they know she would want to hear just to document what happens? "Yeah sure keep eating exactly how you are it's all working fine, eat those cheezy tots gorl, and drink that diet cola, as long as you stay under your calories you're healthy!"

I would fucking die lmao

no but for real there's likely no dietitian at all

Some people in this thread don't seem to know how calories work. Amber will lose weight on 3000 calories a day, irrespective of whatever food they are in. She burns more than that just existing. Absolutely nothing takes priority over weight loss for her health, and this is the most plausible way she can lose weight.

Of course, she won't stick to it, because "you have to eat to survive", and she probably lahhd about the whole thing, but on 3000 calories of chicken nuggets a day, Amber's health would dramatically improve.
