Most ridiculously unfunny/annoying DSP moments?

Remember Yakuza 7? He'd walk or run everywhere and refuse to use taxis which is the fast travel of that game. You don't even need to walk to a taxi stand in that game anymore, compared to older games in the series, Ichi can call them from his phone from anywhere. When he found out about it he said that it's not worth it since it costs more to call it than walk to a taxi stand. You know how much it costs to call a taxi in that game? 1.1k yen, compared to (correct me if I'm wrong) 700 yen if you walk to a stand. That's NOTHING in this game's terms. After you get through the early game literal hobo phase, every random encounter gives you enough money for one taxi call, and by the time he "found out" about it he was in late game where a random encounter gives you enough money for at least 6 taxi calls, and that's just the ones that give the least money when beaten.
 
My personal favorite annoying/unfunny moment is in one of his retrospectives, he is playing a metal gear solid game and his character is talking to some other character, you know how sometimes you look around when inside in game dialog is happening? Well Phil character was inside of a jeep talking to some guy and Phil started rotating the camera around himself while ACK ACK ACKING like a retard because rotating the camera around yourself while in the middle of dialog is the pinnacle of humor, this went on for minutes. It goes to show that even though we meme a lot about him having autism I can think of no person who doesn't have it finding rotating a camera around your character funny to the point you laugh about it for minutes and put it as one of the highlights of your carrer as a content creator.

all of dsps prestream music. some of it is quite good, except that the guy pastes in Phil's parody singing. the fact that phil does this parody singing and then makes it into a prestream song makes it seem forced and manufactured instead of more natural.
 
Not necessarily funny or annoying but I like these moments over the years where he completely destroys a "nice moment" with his own disgusting existence.

 
My take on his sense of humour is that whilst he was not always this way and has become more sedated and sober-sided over the years, it is an incredibly forced reaction most of the time and situational to whatever he's reacting to, barring a few exceptions. When he reacts to something funny, it may be as something like a visual gag or some sort of physical comedic timing thing, and his short chuckles and goat laugh whilst a bit awkward, are probably sensible to whatever he's reacting to. Then you have him going full on overreaction mode doing his notable ack ack ack ack laugh that is normally because he's done something stoopid in a game that wasn't supposed to pan out that way or he's laughing at a situation that doesn't really seem that funny to the average observer, but then you have Phil sounding like this deranged psychopath with some seal-like tendencies with whatever sort of game he's playing, for example...


Watch the first clip of him shooting the soldiers in MGSV and then the sequence after in that FMV cut scene. Yeah those moments seem perfectly reasonable to laugh at hysterically.


Then you have his really unamusing wisecrack type jokes that he does in reaction to something that people say to him or something that he conjures up out of nowhere in an appeal to try and sound funny, he does this a lot and really annoys the hell out of me when he does in a situation that is so out of place and then he immediately goes back to playing the game as if what he said never happened.

Like this moment in response to a cheer will never not be unfunny to me.


Humour is subjective sure, but then he just makes statements that make him sound like a mouth breather.
 
A lot of his sexual jokes are pretty bad, and I don't usually mind them. Two in a TIHYDP New Vegas video are perfect examples of this. The first he strip searches the one Goodsprings NPC and goes "Damn she was hot!" The second is on the strip where he spends up to a minute or more staring at one of the strippers outside of Gomorrah and saying how he wants to show her a good time and then gets interrupted by the Holdout Weapons guy and complained we was trying to admire the girls. Both were extremely immature and sounded like something a teenager finding an old Playboy Magazine would say.

There was also (what I hope was a joke) when he was doing the shooting tutorial and complains he can't use VATS. He was shooting at stationary bottles and said that.

Other than that, in a KOTOR TIHYDP he makes the same imitation death sound of Taris gang members over and over, sometimes singing it.
 
His general treatment of Leanna in 2016-2017, specifically things like him waking her up to make dinner when she was recovering from her illness, is one of the only things that Phil has done over the years that’s made me genuinely mad at him. Sure Panda was an annoying bitch in her own right, but even a bitch like her didn’t deserve the shit Phil put her through. I was rooting for her to leave once she started seriously insulting on live camera towards the end of it, and I’m happy for her being better off now even though she’s still kind of a whiny bitch on her Instagram.
 
I don't think i can suffer the SuperAIDS hypertension of actually reading this thread & de-memoryholing his ffiner moments, but I'll just come in w/ my piss-hot take of "any & all of his entire internet hoofprint", except for when he's (genuinely) irate, panicking, or crying his tampons out. Those things are never not ribcage-in-orbit hilarious.

E: No wait, add to hilarious also when he plays pretend he can do 25 pushups w/ more physical prowess & ferocity than a Navy Seal then has a 25m screaming tantrum that a) no one paid him an unchristly sum of welfare to get up & yell some numbers; & b) not even his most militant microdick riders believed he can actually do even one.

I was just shocked that he counted to 25 w/o fucking it up.

Like Freddy Boy said, no matter what he's listening to he claps with the exact same tempo every time. Someone with editing skills should make a compilation.
 
His treatment of Andre, John, Howard, and Leanna. Yeah, Leanna tried to emulate DSP in their relationship when they were dating early in their relationship. The whole "We're dating" Valentines Day video and that FAMOUS annotation "Leanna isn't Asian. That is all.", even I can't wrap my mentally ill mind around WHY Dave would do that, except to acknowledge that he hates Asians. Yeah, she was a bitch during that time, but I'm honestly glad Leanna broke the pignoisis and was able to build her life with the Chad she's with now. I wish NOTHING but the best and success for Leanna and her future endeavors, no matter where she maybe. As far as Andre, John, and Howard, I honestly hope that they're in a good place. I hope Andre's kid is healthy and Andre is happy, same with John and Howard. I hope that John and Howard are successful in their careers, they found people that love them for who they are, and I hope they're happy and healthy.
 
The most annoying thing to me about phil is the when he tries to be an expert on Italian pizza/food, when in reality he's (A) talking about the new york/east coast variations of these foods and (B) never even been to Italy. I know its a not really a big deal compared to some of the stuff he does but I just get so annoyed listening to him talking about how new york pizza is authentic Italian food. He'll bash various pizza restaurants for not being authentic Italian and talk down to everyone else about pizza of all things, while he himself doesn't even know what Italian pizza is. Its just so obnoxious.

He has always done similar stuff to all food in general. He pretends to break down all of the 'ingredients' of a goddamn chicken sandwich like he were Gordon Fucking Ramsay, or some shit.

"Um, the chicken is made from a chicken breast, and the breading is a spicy breading. And there's tomato, and some lettuce, and some kind of sauce...lemme see what that is...*pinky dip in sauce, followed by squirrel-mouth-lip-smacking* it's mayo. Yep, just mayo. This chicken sandwich...and the bun, the bun is two pieces of bread. Let's see how it is." DEVOUR DEVOUR "Hmm. Mmm. Mmm." Smacks his lips while chewing, nods his head, grabs a napkin to dob off his patchy goatee. "Well, the bread is nice and has a good bread-like consistency, it's definitely bread and not any other substance. He's a gourmet food critic for all things edible. But, he definitely goes WAAAAAY overboard with his 100% authentic Italian-by-way-of-Poland shit when talking about wop food.
