Media should be less raunchy

The rise in vulgarity and degenecay has also affected comedy in my opinion. while swearing in certain contexts and in certain amounts can be funny, its just obnoxious when its nothing but swearing and being vulgar and no punchline or anything. Its just "haha I swear alot look how cool and edgy I am."
Another area this can be seen is inpre 2012 youtube content with weird parody videos of popular IPs such a Pokemon , Mario, and even Sonic (don't worry I am not a sonic fan) as well as those made by Smosh which all relied on super degenerate sex jokes and vulgarity. We even see this in more mainstream content such as The Simpsons, South park and Family Guy but a little more subtle.
I think one of the worst aspects is how much it all lacks boundries, making sexual or degenrate jokes with underaged characters, or jokes nearing bestiality. in otherwords there is a complete lack of moral standards which isn't suprising since the rise of degenracy like pornography innvolves the lowering of standards and the need for more degeneracy.
I blame hacks like George Carlin for making vulgarity into cruise control fpr comedy. It's what has led to the kind of puerile articles written on Wonkette. Crude humor gets old fast.

Yes, said that. Carlin sucked. He was just a potty-mouthed old hippie, a proto-Redditor who would absolutely be gargling Establishment balls if he were still alive.

Can you give some examples besides cardi B? Obviously nigger music is likely going to be be more raunchy, as it almost has always been.

I'm wondering if it's really the case at all overall. Make the case. Build the argument. What parts of media are so overly degenerate?

I mean nigger culture is pretty ubiquitous so throwing that out of the window doesn't exactly work. I guess my point is 90% of TV shows involve some kind of in your face sex joke, or some straight up almost lewd scenes. Like there was this movie my mom was watching, I forgot it's name but there was this scene where she strips down to her lingerie and strips on stage. I feel like this is something you see in alot of movies these days unless they're explicitly family friendly. Like can't you have an adult movie that isn't overtly explicit?

Honestly yes. They don't even hide it anymore, nor is it funny. Believe it or not, I'm not usually in the mood to watch Austin Powers. But here we are. I feel like every pg-13 movie just has to say penis anymore. It doesn't even make me flinch, its old

I think it's more the contrast and hypocrisy that bugs me.
It's weird at how sanitized and safe and sanded off the corners got on every adult institution, IRL place of meeting, and online social platform is. How every workplace is walking on eggshells outside of the blue collar self owned midwest mechanic shops, and how even the news blurs everything.

While we have the goriest, most sex filled, blatantly explicit uncensored full hardcore nudity and fuck word laden always on flow of internet "TV" and cable network shows.
Like- I can't type "Shit" on youtube, I get warned by pockmarked pizza face little jannny dorks if I call someone a retard in a videogame. 800+ dollar phones auto correct no no words.

But little timmy can, with no parental control, oversight or lockout watch the hannibal show on netflix while a guy graphically feeds pieces of his face to a dog in 4K. And chase it down with "Animated Comedy" about drag queens talking about fucking each other in the ass and how many enemas they will need between ass fucks.

Nothing ruins a good movie quite like an intrusive sex scene. My last straw was the sex scene in Oppenheimer; it was completely unnecessary and added nothing to the story at all.

It's nothing more than softcore porn.

I have far more respect for adult films that don't need to have any sex scenes at all, and just tell stories that resonate with adults. The need to shove in a sex scene feels like a juvenile’s idea of what makes a piece of media “adult”.

Doesn't help that most actors featured in these scenes, especially in current year, aren't that attractive. They're mid tier, at best, but not exactly people I want to see naked at any point.

I think the real crux of the issue is that vulgarity is a crutch for poor writing and a lack of creativity. How many of these shows are just going through the same lazy motions and pretending they're mature because they added a few completely irrelevant sex scene? Almost every show seems to have added explicit content, but few ever try to do something new or interesting with it

Cardi B only has any platform because sheboons making jokes about their vajayjays is the only thing the legacy music industry knows how to sell at this point.
I dunno why anyone looks at the studio-backed forced hits like they're reflective of actual culture instead of the whimpering of a dying industry as anyone with actual talent fucked off to work independently.
