Mass shooting reported at multiple locations in Lewiston, Maine

If I were his ex-girlfriend and still alive I would get the hell out of dodge and maintain internet silence until he is found. She must be absolutely shitting her pants right now.

I have not yet seen a late 30's to 40ish woman on the kill list yet. 2 women are dead.

Edit: Well the full list of the current dead is out. No ex-girlfriend identified. She could be injured, or might not have been at those locations that night.

----
Alternative ideas for why he stopped at the river to:
A) Throw his killing gun in the river to make it harder to find. (The one in the car could be a back up.)
B) Throw the police off his trail making them think he went by river, while opting for another escape route. With his extra vehicle waiting for him there.

If I wanted to fuck someone up in the UK, just carry some bleach in a metal tumblr and splash them in the eyes.
Most people carry pepper spray for self defense. Not to fuck people up. If that would immediately make an attacker nearly as ineffective as pepper spray giving you a chance to get away, then OK.

Otherwise I guess you would carry just about any chemical irritant that you could claim plausible deniability. Maybe a peppermint-alcohol based mouth spray with extra peppermint oil. Or maybe dose it with a bit of capsaicin yourself. Maybe a different spray cleaning solution.

Nothing would have stopped him buying a cellfone and a SIM a few months ago, which he could use now.
Using a burner for a few months might as well just be registered in your name.
LE has tools that can correlate SIMs to people just by looking at location patterns and knowing where a person has been known to go in the past.
If he ever turned the phone at his house, army base, work, etc then they wiil eventually figure it out.* You can bet they are tossing lots of glower powers at figuring that data out.

If you want to really fall off the grid or throw them off the trail leave the cell phone at home. I remember reading about a case not to long ago where a guy shot his wife. He tossed his cellphone in her jacket or she had it for what ever reason. EMS takes her to the hospital, LE starts pinging the phone. See's its at the hospital and they take that as gospel and swarm it. The guy drives by cops in his own car out of town. Later someone finds him in a Park-and-Ride where he shot himself.

Joshua Seal was shot and killed inside Schemengees Bar in Lewiston Wednesday afternoon. The bar was hosting a community event for members of the deaf community. (archive)

that's made me, and probably other deaf kiwis pretty mati. interpreters are like gold dust these days and deaf people are usually the last to know when something's going wrong. (if any of you guys are interested about deaf preparedness, check out this)

however, the fact schmengees was holding a deaf event makes me think it was targeted. he was losing his hearing, maybe becoming involved in the deaf / hoh community but being unable to sign also contributed to his paranoia that people were talking about him.

impossible. i was told he gunned down dozens of children and that dingy bowling alleys are where teenagers love to hang out in 2023

I’m betting he went for a swim and ate a bullet.
Unlikely, bodies float and there are two dams on either side of the river. Only way that could happen is if he took some weights with him.

Edit:
I am wrong as fuck given the time elapsed.

Nah he could be dead in there. Bodies usually sink a bit before they float. Air is displaced as the lungs and tissues become waterlogged. The body sinks (even if just below the surface; doesn't necessarily sink to the bottom). It can take up to 3 days or more for the decomp gases to "bloat and float".

Never heard about this deaf event other than the unproven "kids bowling event".... But Could you imagine being in the middle of of any shooting, and all you hear is silence? I'm sure the air pressure could be ”booming" like that blaster from the movie Minority Report {sound wave blasts). But fuck, that's terrifying. PL, I know some ASL.

Edit: Bodies confirmed were in averages of 40 to 60+ years of age. That poor 14yr old death pisses me off.... Accidents don't matter, I hope that kid was the first to try disarm him. Poor kid. RIP.

Well this shooting did cause a Dem congressman from Maine to forget about his oath to the Constitution and cuck out on guns. He's now on favor of bans and confiscation

Fucking bastard
I am still MATI why these fucking politicians are rarely asked how a features ban will prevent the next high profile mass shooting.

You can do whatever crazy gun grips you want. The shooter will take them off.

A high-cap magazine ban?
This guy was in the military and they are exempted. Even if he wasn't, he was probably more that competent to change mags effectively.

The only effective solution is a near total semi-auto firearms, handgun, and pump action ban (leaving some room for a break action shotguns and bolt action rifles.

In "active shooter" training in schools, once a shooter is in the room, children are taught to throw everything they have at the shooter. Books. Pencils, whatever they have at hand.

This distracts the shooter who now cannot take time to aim properly and has to dodge and weave to not get hit with something hard.

If adults had done this, or someone had yelled out "throw everything you have at him!" the shooter may not have taken out every person who charged him. It might have given them an opening.

At a bowling alley, plenty of bowling balls for ammo.

At a bar, plenty of glasses, beer bottles, cornhole bean bags, cornhole stands, bottles behind the bar.

This story really highlights just how lazy and dependent law enforcement have become due to the fact that everyone carries around a personal tracking device 24/7.

Loony toons here ditches his cell phone and they are completely powerless and have absolutely no idea where he is.

Security at my work unofficially recommend that we carry a small can of strong hairspray in our handbags (easy to grab and with the cap off) especially if we’re working late and have to walk to the car. It’s bullshit that we can’t properly protect ourselves with something more forceful; but it’s much easier to justify having hairspray in your handbag than random chemicals. The police are no more your friend than the criminals, don’t give them a reason to question you.

Personally, I would use a fire extinguisher.

You could also set up an ambush using a cutoff power cord, a live socket, and a puddle of water on a non-carpeted surface, but that's a little autistic.

Really love all that back the blue/Blue lives matter shit that went around. It doesn’t matter if the dipshit cops are targeting somebody you don’t agree with they’re all worthless for protecting anything but the donut shop.
