They could honestly change depending on how they execute the movie. Plus, Kevin Fiege needs a good send off because since this and the next Avengers will be the last one featuring some of the veteran actors, he'll need good replacements. If Infinity War starts the trend of the MCU movies sucking, then Kevin Feige is going to struggle.

What I'm not looking forward too is the bullshit that Moviebob is going to spin around a particular element in the film that he'll misunderstand that everyone hated it. Given how hard is MCU boner is, I think he'll struggle with coming up with a way to defend it.

Hey, I hope you're right. It's far too early to judge the film at this point and a good film is a net gain for everyone. Personally I'm only interested in Bob's reaction if it sucks. His mental gymnastics are unparalleled so it'd be amusing to see just how much he misunderstood the film to fit with his worldview and MCU boner. I do kind of want the films to start being less good so that the market is less filled with decent super hero films. I'd like something great every once in a while or something.

Since Infinity War comes out in two weeks then Ant-Man and the Wasp comes out in July, I am curious to how the in-universe timeline works. Does IW take place after A-MatW because that could confuse audiences?

Depends. Apparently A-MatW apparently ties directly into Infinity War. Most often, there are little elements that tie all the films together that it isn’t a problem too often.
If there is one reviewer who’s review of IW I’m not looking forward to (or even plan to watch) is the Dishonored Wolf’s review. He’ll just be a shitter about the film, What with his hate-boner for the MCU (and about anything that isn’t furfag or edgy weeb shit) which is the equivalent of Chipman’s love for it. His obvious biases really make him an insufferable reviewer and YouTuber in general.
TBH I’ll probably just watch YourMovieSucks’ review, since he actually judges movies based on the production, cinematography, and the actually important things in a movie (with one or two exceptions).
 
I completely forgot about this movie coming about until recently when some nigga reminded me so I guess I'm gonna see it.

I thought Age of Ultron was OK so I'll probably enjoy this.

I suppose the universe has to balance itself, and yes, Wolf is rather insufferable and his lack of brevity grates on me. A lot.

That said, my expectations of Infinity War are pretty low. I thought Thor: Ragnarok was a horrendous film and Black Panther vacillates between "mediocre" and "eh, it's okay" so I am expecting a decent popcorn flick where I can put my brain into neutral, at best. It does feel like the end of the MCU (despite Fiege's plans to keep the franchise going) and I'm invested enough to see it through to Avengers 4 though sign me up for a Fantastic Four film. One thing that I do find irksome is that Disney/Marvel appears ready to milk the MCU to death. I wish they could take a page from Toho in Japan and give it a rest, but corporate greed in Hollywood won't allow that.
 
So since I got a feeling that Infinity War is going to be a divisive movie, I'm predicting the Rotten Tomatoes score for the users will be between 49-56 %. As far as top critics go, I'm predicting a 44%.

I may sound insane, but the reason I think this is because the movie kinda looks like it's going to suck honestly. I feel like it will reveal that the MCU was doomed from the start because I have a feeling that the other films will illogically connect the events of the film and could have a cop out ending with Thanos.

There are also reasons I honestly think the movie will fail to live up the expectations that the last ten years have built.

  • The CGI looks terrible as the MCU has had its visual effects progress worse over time.
  • The action scenes look boring like the other MCU films and all of them lack tension and suspense
  • The story looks like it will be bloated with dull exposition about the Infinity Gems and giving Thanos way too much backstory and making him look like a goth kid who spends the entire MCU fucking with people to get revenge on them, or some other illogical shit MovieBob will suck cock to.
  • A majority of the characters might get pushed to the sidelines until they get a chance to fight Thanos and after that they're pushed to the side.
  • ALL of the actors look fucking bored and disinterested out of their minds. Seriously, Robert Downey Jr, Chris Evans, and Josh Brolin all look like they're ready to head back to their trailers.

I know this sounds cynical, but these are possibilities that could (maybe will honestly) happen since I feel like we are approaching the creative peak of the MCU.
 
I'm personally curious if Cap is going to fully operate under his Nomad identity from the comics or simply just allude to it. Either or, I'm glad we're touching on that aspect of the character.

James Cameron recently commented on the superhero genre once more, saying that he hopes Avengers fatigue sets in soon.

According to IndieWire, Cameron openly critiqued the Avengers series when speaking to reporters this weekend, saying, "I’m hoping we’ll start getting Avenger fatigue here pretty soon. Not that I don’t love the movies. It’s just, come on guys, there are other stories to tell besides hyper-gonadal males without families doing death-defying things for two hours and wrecking cities in the process."

With a saga of his own coming to fruition in the next four instalments of the Avatar movies, Cameron has a different take on how stories of such a magnitude can be handled.

"I’ve found myself as a father of five starting to think about what would an Avatar story be like if it was a family drama. What if it was The Godfather? It’s a generational family saga. That’s very different than the first film. There’s still the same setting and the same respect for the shock of the new," he explained.

"We still want to show you things that you haven’t even seen or imagined, but the story is very different," Cameron added. "It’s a continuation of the same characters… but what happens when warriors who are willing to go on suicide charges and leap off cliffs, what happens when they grow up and have their own kids? It becomes a very different story."

This isn't the first time Cameron has taken a superhero film to task, critiquing Wonder Woman last year, calling it a "step backwards" for Hollywood. Despite receiving flak for his comments, with backlash from Lynda Carter who portrayed the character in the 1970s TV show, Cameron stood by his criticism of the film.

Because of his work on the Avatar series, Cameron says he doesn't have his "finger on the pulse of the zeitgeist today" and doesn't "know where tastes are going in respect to science fiction."

I read the spoilers on Reddit out of curiosity. On paper, it looks a little overwhelming at points, especially near the end. But hopefully it'll translate a lot differently on screen.

And I agree, AM&TW will likely be a side story alongside IW1 in which Ant Man & The Wasp will come into play in IW2.
 
I plan on going in as blind as possible, and not watch any reviews until I’ve seen it myself. And considering my local theatre plays movies a good while after they come out (we just barely got Pacific Rim 2), it’ll be a while.
As for why I just won’t go see it at another theatre, at my local place, a matinee is $3, with a large popcorn being $6. Need I say more?
 
I've already seen it Taipei. It was good, and there are some genuine shocks from the audience, especially in the end. The bad parts are that half the fucking movie is "I know a guy who can help us out", Vision keeps dying but not dying, and there are so many location swaps that it makes it hard to keep up at times.

Not bad for all the shit they crammed in, but then again, I'm a fan of capeshit.

I doubt half of them are gonna be dead permanently especially the last 6 you’ve listed considering there are guaranteed sequels for those characters.
