I'm a nerd in all kinds of facets. Anime, video games, movies. All that shiz. One thing I enjoy is clearly the Marvel cinematic universe; obviously, it's the title of the thread. What I want to talk about, however, is something I've been mulling over ever since Civil War came out.

Who's gonna die?

Now there's multiple facets to this questions both in-universe and in the real world so I'm gonna sperg a bit about each and perhaps you can divulge for yourself who's going to bite the big one.

Now at first you might notice that I've only offered two real choices. Cap or Buckethead. This is because while have a strong belief there might be a few others here and there (I'm looking at you Vision) these two will have the biggest impacts on the team dynamic along with the fanbase itself.

Both actors have both mentioned wanting to get out of the roles for quite some time now. Robert Downey started this freight train way back with Iron Man and helped create the now unstoppable juggernaut. He could walk away from this series knowing that in all honesty it probably wouldn't have gotten as far without him.

Chris Evans started out the the awful Fantastic Four movies but managed to come around in Captain America: The First Avenger. It's actually one of my favorites in the entire MCU and the two that followed were equally enjoyable.

Both of these actors helped shaped the MCU into what it is today. The first two Thor's were pretty bland (Not Ragnarok though, it's fucking awesome), Ant-Man was lukewarm, Dr. Strange is alright, Hulk was good until we lost Edward Norton for Avengers(RIP) and everyone else is pretty much just filling in a slot. I'm not saying they're bad but when you boil it down if either Robert or Chris step down it'll leave a significant vacuum in the series as a whole.

In-universe nerding:
I've been in a toss up for awhile now but after much deliberation I've finally come to the decision that if either of them is going to die it's going to be Cap. His loss would have not only a huge impact on the team but to the world as a whole. He can also be replaced by Winter Soldier (as he was in the comics) so there's that going for him.
I did originally think it could be Iron Man (especially with him and Pepper planning on getting married) but as a whole he's generally not looked at in the same light as Cap even though he bankrolls everything. He's more or less team leader two; even in the first Avenger he straight up mentions that he's not a soldier so having to take up the mantle of leader with Cap out of the picture would be a huge step up for him.
Of course I could be totally wrong about everything.

TL;DR Which imaginary character is gonna eat in Avengers: Infinity War?

Welp. Seems the new Spidey Suit for Homecoming 2’s been “leaked.”
To be honest, it reminds me of

In all the right ways. The tech Suit probably gets destroyed in Infinity War, leading Peter to use Iron Spider for the film, and makes this Suit later for the sequel.
TBH. I really like the design for this Suit so far.

Anyone want to predict the Rotten Tomatoes score for Infinity War? I think it'll be the first MCU movie to have a rotten score honestly, given how many high expectations this has after building up for ten years.

The critic score is easily going to be fresh, probably somewhere around 85-96% but the audience score I reckon will be middle of the road at best. There's no way that it could possibly live up to expectations but it surely won't be terrible, probably just average.

What made the first Avengers so great was because it was the payoff of four years of buildup. That’s why Age of Ultron kind of sucked, it lacked the proper build up to the villain, or the team-up. With Infinity War, it’ll most likely deliver.

What you're forgetting is that Infinity War had 6 years of build up plus being an over all arch closer for the MCU up until now. You also have to keep in mind that Infinity War has like 20 main characters and a villain no one cares about. I guess what I'm saying is that the buildup has been so long it either lowered people's expectations or raised them too high and with all the characters it's gonna be a bloated mess. You also have Thanks looking like ass witch I don't think will go to the credot of the movie.

They could honestly change depending on how they execute the movie. Plus, Kevin Fiege needs a good send off because since this and the next Avengers will be the last one featuring some of the veteran actors, he'll need good replacements. If Infinity War starts the trend of the MCU movies sucking, then Kevin Feige is going to struggle.

What I'm not looking forward too is the bullshit that Moviebob is going to spin around a particular element in the film that he'll misunderstand that everyone hated it. Given how hard is MCU boner is, I think he'll struggle with coming up with a way to defend it.
