Yeah, but those are really self contained to X-Men side of the house. Granted, Dark Phoneix and Apocalypse can be easily modified to the MCU at large, but I don't think those are on the radar right now.(for obvous reasons)

Magneto has worked, as a threat, even outside X-Men.

FF4 bring the two biggest villian heavy hitters to the MCU: Doom & Galactus.

Galactus seems to be the biggest villian of them all. Plus, you get The Silver Surfer(he can replace Dr. Strange)...

So, they would be wise, to use Galactus to maximum effect. Once he is done, every other villian is kinda secondary. He may be best used as a way to close out The MCU completely.

So, I guess I would use Doom as your big event baddy first. I guess turn him neutral or whatever he became at the conclusion...

Is Oscorp going to creare the FF4? Since they moved into Starks building?

Galactus being the biggest bad is actually a common misconception. He's up there in the huge power levels, true, but there are a good number of cosmic+ beings that don't really care about Galactus. He's also not all that much of an actual threat to Earth, and usually just hangs out like a background shark floating around in the water you don't want to piss off. He's a good villain arc, but Reed ultimately undermines that by cheating him out of his powers and generally being the annoying looping Dr. Strange to Galactus' Dormamu. If you were to go for some kind of ultimate event to purposefully close MCU down for some reason, you definitely would swing higher. If The One Above All or the Living Tribunal don't have a reason to even pop by to say 'hi', it's not that much of an ultimate final battle.

I have a difficult time reading the post, because Thor 1(in my opinion) is shit. No villian, uncomfortable actors(especially Portman), and a bunch of gay portentous fantasy crap I don't give a fuck about.

To be honest, I think Thor, as a character, fucking blows. I think why I enjoyed Ragnarok: they deshackled Hemsworth from the character, letting him play to his strengths(comedic timing and charm).

Also, Feige isn't a hack. He is an executive(not a creative). He is one of the most knowledable executives you could possibly ask for...

Other than those things, I generally agree. Sif and Valkeryie would have made better choices as LadyThor. Even though the very concept is stupid, gay, and pointless...

Could you, please, sum up?

I can't sit through that faggot's nonsense. I've already watched the 'Cat's' trailer, anymore faggotry will turn me gay....

I call Feige and the people behind the MCU's products hacks because for all the huge budget, resources and marketing they have at hand, their films apart from a few exceptions are pretty lacklustre. Although that's my personal opinion and I know I'm in the minority opinion here, so feel free to say I'm dumb.

I'm also the kind of person who's into camp, and gay over-the-top pretentious space opera shit, and I've learned to accept my own faggotery and that I'll be one day electrocuted to death for it.

I guess my main question will be how will Jane become "worthy" of wielding Thor's hammer, vagina reasons excluded (although I expect the latter).

Well, when doing a massive cinematic universe: I don't think its realistic to get great movies every time.

But, Fiege had a vision, stuck to it and gave us some real quality films. For example, Captain America, is an antiquated, potentially ridiculous character to put on screen. He had rocky first film, but by bringing in the Russo brothers: he gave us, arguably, the best entries in the entire MCU.

He then put those guys in charge for the big event films. What else was he supposed to do, as an executive? What would you have done differently?

As far as your personal prefrences, I could care less. Each his own...

You can't really bring yourself to care about films you are never going to watch, but it doesn't bode well for the future of films, the way studios are now shaping and presenting this content with total indifference to creativity or artistic merit, to the point that these movies are indistinguishable from product rollouts, complete with a schedule and what amounts to planned obsolescence. Asides from the MCU fanatics who still binge-watch the movies whenever possible and weep A BLOO HOO HOO during the designated sad moments, most people will never care about these movies after they watch them, but they plant the desire in fans to see more of them. It's not limited to capeshit, the current batch of CGI animated films are done in the same way, completely soulless and reeking of the corporate manager mindset in a landscape completely unrecognizable from Hollywood of the 1970s or the 1980s.

This is the bigger problem of the industry at large.

Movie budgets have become ridiculous. So, only a couple companies can actually afford the cost, or take a financial loss if the movie is not sucessful. Also, they require massive return to justify the cost.

So, companies are petrified of taking any chances with other high concepts. Financially, not interested in smaller character driven films other than schlocky award bait for actors. Pretending that these studios give a shit about artistic merit....

But, inevitably the superhero or brand movie bubble will burst. But, I think they know that...

I think all the major production studios will merge together together into a conglomerate. Thus, sharing profits and financial losses.

I don't what type of cinema or whatever will come out of that though....

Currently, cinema plays to the lowest common denominator(the Jack Scalifanis of the world). Infantile, and devoid any thought. Perfectly fine, occasionally. But, this is all they're producing now...

I don't doubt Female Thor can be great. I'm just not a fan of the idea because I will miss Hemsworth as Thor.
I'm not a fan of the idea because Natalie Portman is a godawful actress that always looks like she doesn't want to be in whatever Sci-Fi/Fantasy schlock she's been roped into for a paycheck. Tessa Thompson IIRC is prone to exceptional sound bites, but she at least looks like she wants to be on set. My feeling is that "woke" Disney doesn't think she (or Jaime Alexander) are big enough "names" to anchor a movie, and they want to rework the horrible Jane Foster Thor comic arc into...something.

To their credit, the Civil War comic was a fucking mess but the movie reworked it into something palatable and enjoyable. It's possible they could do the same here, but Portman is just so bad I have zero hope.

The Dr. Strange Multiverse one sounds cool though, despite the exceptional title. I'd give that one a chance.

But FFS Endgame teased Thor & The Guardians and that's the REAL SHIT we want.

Pick one.

In all seriousness though, the entire story of female Thor is shit, from the name-stealing to origins to her whole arc. It would be better to take as little influence from the comics as possible and create a character that only shares a visual similarity to their counterpart.
Female Thor is a great idea. Thor as a transferable title is fucking retarded.

So falcon and winter soldier's vill is gonna be baron zemo. Not sure what I think of this.

I like it, and I'm curious to see where it goes.

Zemo is one of the best MCU villains.

It still bugs me that Valkyrie being a slaver who sold innocent people into death and servitude is skimped over.

Her girlfriend died and she's a bit sad, so let's quickly move on.

MCU Valkyrie had a really intriguing character arc in Ragnarok. Loved her in that movie.

I'd rather see her become "Female Thor," if they're going to go that route. Valkyrie could have been given a substantial amount of character development. But no ... We're going to see more of Natalie fucking Portman instead. Wonderful.

Portman didn't even look that excited when Taika Waititi gave her the Hammer at Comic Con. Couldn't even lift that damn thing up the entire way. lol. She had a look on her face that was like "Ok, smirk for the audience ... Annnnd, when can I go back home?" Yes, Marvel, great idea to expect us to be happy with her replacing Chris Hemsworth.

If I were still watching the MCU, I'd be happier with an arc made for Sif and the Warriors Three over Deliberate Gender-Swap #35, even if it may be less popular. Marvel still has plenty of competent original female characters they could write good stories for, even if Captain Marvel was pure, undistilled crap.
