So ... Some predictions about what's to come from the MCU:

-The next Doctor Strange movie is going to be about the Multiverse and will also be starring the Scarlet Witch (hell yes, I love her). Methinks this is going to be the start of the MCU introducing the X-Men/mutants.

-Rumors are flying around that Kraven the Hunter will be the next Spider-Man movie villain, and that he's going to be from Wakanda. I fully believe the possibility of this given how Spider-Man: Far From Home ended, with Peter being framed for Mysterio's death and his identity being fully revealed. Gives a perfect reason for Kraven to hunt Spider-Man. Loose adaptation of Kraven's Last Hunt, maybe? I'd be DOWN for that.

I don't even want to think about MCU Eternals. That's like one of the most Jack Kirby things Kirby did at Marvel, a movie will be awful. Some have claimed that Thor: Rangarok looked Kirby-esque, no it didn't. It only tried a little bit for like thirty minutes but it was still desaturated looking standard modern cinema and none of the MCU Thor stuff actually looks like Kirby's work, nothing that's not a comic really can.

I'm sure a Shang-Chi movie will also be some display of watered down Matrix-esque fight shit instead of an actual action film, the movie equivalent of chewing on dry grilled chicken

If you're going to include X-Men villains, then Apocalypse and the Dark Phoenix are also big ones. Sentinel plots work too, when actually well written. The problem recently has been that Fox is so inept it's failed at portraying any of those three villains, much like they failed to portray Galactus, so they don't feel like they're mega villains.

Working toward Secret Wars could be a good plan now that they have X-Men and F4, though.
They never even TRIED with Galactus!

A GODDAMN CLOUD!

Who the fuck would want to see Kraven's Last Hunt with Peter as a tyke and unmarried to MJ? It defeats the purpose. Considering Nat isn't at all actually Russian in the MCU, it would be nice to cast an actual Russian dude for Kraven instead of changing it. We're going to get enough Wakanda with BP2.

Doctor Strange 2 and a MCU Blade sound really interesting.
I would be down with a darker feel for phase 4 (I'm curious about how they will introduce the vampires in the MCU. Hell, they could even go with the Siege of Darkness, since they have Ghost Rider). Also, thumbs up for @StarkRavingMad comment about Spidey's next movie. That would be really rad.

Dubious about the Eternals, zero expectations for Thor 4. Not because of Portman, but because of Waititi. Can't stand that guy.

Regarding Fem!Thor... well, long rambling potentially autistic rant below.

The thing is that for me, Thor movies jumped the shark the minute Joss Whedon got his paws on Thor and Loki and that Avengers came out. Kenneth Brannagh was a perfect pick because he knew how to bring a certain larger-than-life feel that was perfect for Asgard (thank his Shakespearian background for that, not to mention that he directed the only decent live-action Disney remake). The characters were three-dimensional and likeable - yeah, even Jane Foster. But of course, Whedon had to go ahead and turn Thor and Loki into caricatures of what they were, so we ended up with the mess that was Thor 2 - not to mention they had Patty Jenkins initially but she got unceremoniously fired.

I mentioned Patty Jenkins above because her firing is the "official" reason why Natalie Portman quit. And not to whiteknight, but I do feel a bit bad talking shit about Portman because she is a good actress and she seems like a shy person. But I guess that after Black Swan, she probably only wanted to go for producing/directing gigs and Oscar-bait films - she can give an entire speech about how there aren't enough female directors working but the truth is that in the 2010s, she only worked with ONE female director. LEL.

Also, Portman has TERRIBLE taste in picking projects. Last 8 years, only two projects of note she had were Jackie (pure Oscar bait, got a nom but the film didn't do that well) and Annihilation (not a bad film, but she was kind of miscast and the film itself is a bit too ahead of its time imo). Oh yeah, there's that Xavier Dolan film that everyone made fun of, but I don't know who in their right mind would pair up with that pretentious fuck. (I come from Quebec and I hear about him all the fucking time. Fuck Xavier Dolan.)

Ragnarrok was fun and definitely not a bad movie, but it was more of a parody of the Thor films than a continuation. I will say that Valkyrie is an actually well-done female version of a Han Solo type of character - something they probably tried doing with Carol Danvers but failed miserably.

Anyway, the modus operandi with the MCU is that they're masters at marketing. The "Captain Marvel controversy" is probably exactly what they wanted - they wanted people to talk, negatively or positively, just so people would go and see it at the very least out of morbid curiosity. That's the reason why Wonder Woman, despite being a superior movie, didn't do as well - WB wasn't bothered to market it. But when the movie comes out, all the "woke" marketing surrounding it goes to dust, because the film itself fails to deliver in the sense that it stays pretty lukewarm on said woke issues. Black Panther was fine - I'd even say it's the best Marvel film since the first Thor. Captain Marvel was honestly overall pretty dull and uninteresting, and played it safe. So for people who are worried Portman's Thor will be as bad as the Lady Thor comics - I seriously doubt it. Kevin Feige's a hack, but he's a smart hack who'll please everyone while providing half-assed films.

I'll take Portman over Larson any day, any time, but they both have the charisma of a black hole. Chris Hemsworth is a mediocre actor but he has charisma, which makes up for it. Tessa Thompson and Jamie Alexander both have the chops to lead a Thor film (good actresses AND very charismatic), but nope. It's not that I have a problem with Lady Thor - but heck, I'd even be fine with Darcy becoming Lady Thor because that would be fucking hilarious. But nope, let's give it to Portman who played a character who was a scientist and one of the smartest people on Earth , who all of a sudden becomes Muscle Lady because that makes perfect sense with the character. Sure. That's totally going to get Portman's career back on track.

The reason why Wonder Woman didn’t do so well at least overseas is because of its World War setting. I’m willing to bet if they followed what Aquaman did and made it a visual spectacle/epic quest type movie and actually made the main focus of the movie on the Amazon’s, it could’ve made way more money in China and the rest of the world.

Captain Marvel did so well because 1) it’s a Marvel movie that felt “slightly” fresh (female protagonist and all) 2) it was the final film before Endgame.

The same thing happened with Black Panther. Despite people in overseas markets like Russia and much of Eastern Asia finding the movie to be “okay” and some even going so far to call it “lacking action/boring” or made racist comments about the cast, it’s overseas box office was better then many solo MCU movies because of its position as the last movie before Infinity War.

I have a difficult time reading the post, because Thor 1(in my opinion) is shit. No villian, uncomfortable actors(especially Portman), and a bunch of gay portentous fantasy crap I don't give a fuck about.

To be honest, I think Thor, as a character, fucking blows. I think why I enjoyed Ragnarok: they deshackled Hemsworth from the character, letting him play to his strengths(comedic timing and charm).

Also, Feige isn't a hack. He is an executive(not a creative). He is one of the most knowledable executives you could possibly ask for...

Other than those things, I generally agree. Sif and Valkeryie would have made better choices as LadyThor. Even though the very concept is stupid, gay, and pointless...

I dislike SJW shit as any normal woman would, but Christ, this moron is getting on my tits.

Could you, please, sum up?

I can't sit through that faggot's nonsense. I've already watched the 'Cat's' trailer, anymore faggotry will turn me gay....

He calls out Fantano for calling him a smelly neckbeard, and hilariously states he doesn't like cheetos.

I believe he was called Odinson in the comics so they could do that or considering the MCU's comedy they might just call him Not Thor.

Its strongly implied that Odin just locked Thor's natural power in Meownir and that, after Hela destroys the hammer, it was returned to him. The hammer they brought back from the past still has Thor's power, but since Thor currently operates under his own power he no longer needs to wield it to be the God of Thunder. But that doesn't mean anyone who picks up the hammer becomes Thor, just that they have the (time-displaced) power of Thor. When Cap picked up the hammer he didn't become Thor. He was Captain America with a hammer that shoots lightning. Likewise, if Jane Foster picks up the hammer, she doesn't become Thor. She just wields his power through the hammer.

You know, if Odin had just removed the enchantment from Meownir after Thor learned his lesson in Thor 1 we wouldn't be having this debate.
