Fuck, if they can take Civil War and turn it into a good story then maybe there's hope for Jane!Thor. And after Ragnarok I trust Taika to make a movie that is at least enjoyable. Most of the contention people had with the Jane!Thor run in the comics wasn't with the base concept itself but just how badly it was written from start to finish. Well, that and him giving up his literal name instead of giving her a new title.

Then again the MCU has been kind of sliding down the shitter lately (big-dick avengers movies aside) so who knows. I'll save my judgement for the trailer.

Bare in mind there were some real stinkers in the phase 1 and 2 MCU also.

I liked Shang Chi in the comics but I really don't see how he's going to hold a movie.

My crazy idea for a new Marvel cinematic universe:. Just keep doing avengers and maybe spend off avengers West coast. Have the old guard in it for the first movie or two to get the new characters on their feet.

You could even do the new versions of the old heroes easily like Hawkeye teaching Kate everything he knows,

Cap it off with something like the infinity crusade storyline. They've already teased Adam warlock so the hook is already built in.

The way I see it there are three(perhaps 4)cataclysimic(big event)villians:

  • Thanos
  • Galactus
  • Magneto
  • (Possibly) Dr. Doom. Depends on how they approach him

If they wanted to do a female Thor movie, why not just use Valkyrie...you know...the one you've already set up as the leader of New Asgard?

That takes a character people already like and elevates her AND I get double woke stupid points for using a black female!

Put me in coach! I'm ready!

Or how about Lady Sif? Where is she anyway?

But no, lets use the weakest part of the first two Thor movies as the star. No knock on Natalie. She's a fine actress and cute to boot (technically I'm a pig in the current year for mentioning that, but fuck you, she's hot). But bringing her back to the series as a star hero seems a little off to me. I mean if Natalie couldn't do it, would Kat Dennings have been the next option?

They could also just have Portman portray Foster, who goes through a physical transformation when she becomes FemThor. That way they transition the new lady Thor as "Jane Foster", but can get a larger, more muscular woman and then not have to keep Portman around for future films.

Or fuck she might just be a one and done and never be in any more. Who the hell knows.
I'm not sure of the transformation gimmick since Thor 1 didn't have him turned into Donald Blake on Earth since they thought it'd be goofy. They could have changed their minds since then but who knows.

Yep, as I've mentioned before: Portman is still a dirty jew. She may have a cute exterior, but inside is the heart of a penny pinching opportunist...

This was most likely a contract situation. Either Sif or Valkeryie were clearly much better options...

The good news is that we probably only have to endure it for one film

Got to admit, their Phase 4 plan is ambitious.

I was mistaken in one of my earlier posts. What was dated will comprise the entirety of Phase 4, so it will only cover 2020-2021. Feige also confirmed that Blade will be 2022 at the earliest.

If you're going to include X-Men villains, then Apocalypse and the Dark Phoenix are also big ones. Sentinel plots work too, when actually well written. The problem recently has been that Fox is so inept it's failed at portraying any of those three villains, much like they failed to portray Galactus, so they don't feel like they're mega villains.

Working toward Secret Wars could be a good plan now that they have X-Men and F4, though.

Sentinels are really dark, even by MCU standards. I know people were jerking themselves off over that Mysterio scene, but that still doesn't even approach the absolute insanity of the Sentinels.

I'm just hoping that there can be a fun movie version of Doom because there hasn't been one since the Roger Corman movie.

Yeah, but those are really self contained to X-Men side of the house. Granted, Dark Phoneix and Apocalypse can be easily modified to the MCU at large, but I don't think those are on the radar right now.(for obvous reasons)

Magneto has worked, as a threat, even outside X-Men.

FF4 bring the two biggest villian heavy hitters to the MCU: Doom & Galactus.

Galactus seems to be the biggest villian of them all. Plus, you get The Silver Surfer(he can replace Dr. Strange)...

So, they would be wise, to use Galactus to maximum effect. Once he is done, every other villian is kinda secondary. He may be best used as a way to close out The MCU completely.

So, I guess I would use Doom as your big event baddy first. I guess turn him neutral or whatever he became at the conclusion...

Is Oscorp going to creare the FF4? Since they moved into Starks building?

Funny you say that as in theory Thanos with the gauntlet was a bigger threat than Galactus.
Right, but that doesn't matter. Thanos was a cheap Darkseid ripoff. Also, Thanos doesn't have the name recognition of Dr. Doom(he looks cooler too..potentially).

Galactus eats fucking planets...nuff said. He is the MCU's Death Star.

Also how are they going to do the dark avengers without the OG avengers?

They will just use The New Avengers? I mean the Avengers can use whatever members they want. Its like a golf club membership...
