MCU Valkyrie is awesome, in my opinion. The Thor movies already have their "strong wamen" character.

I'm really, really, really hoping that this whole thing is just an intentional farce ... But again, I'm not holding my breath for it.

Ragnarok set up some goddamn Beta Ray Bill. I want another wacky, "high budget Cannon Films" space adventure ... I don't want a romantic comedy.

I thought that the announcement was kinda bleh, mainly because I can't really feel any enthusiasm for The Eternals or Shang-Chi, while the stuff I'm actually looking forward to are quite distant with scarce details (F4, Blade, GotG3..etc).

The other thing is that I was hoping Disney had some announcements about trying to get Daredevil and co started again. Thanks for the disappointment.

Netflix apparently has a clause that prohibits Disney from using the characters for some years.

I didn't mind Fat Thor in Endgame. Granted, I think that there were a few lines tossed here and there that went a little TOO comedic for the movie. However, some of the more dramatic moments made it work for me. The whole "don't say his name" scene and his reunion with Frigga were fantastic. I also had some of my heartstrings tugged when Thor offered to do the snap with the Stark Gauntlet.

And, Fat Thor looked just fine in the final battle, if you ask me. Not distracting at all.

That said ... If Thor's sendoff from the MCU is to continue to make him a fatass drunk for the lulz just to pass the Hammer off to Natalie fucking Portman, then I will absolutely be pissed. That will officially become the MCU's "jumping the shark" moment.

This movie takes place after Endgame, I presume ... And it's coming out before Guardians Vol. 3. How do the Guardians fit into all of this? And I swear to all that is holy ... If Thor's adventures with the Guardians are disregarded or glossed over, I am going to be beyond pissed. That's a whole movie in of itself.

He'll be Ragnarok Thor again, he was only a schlub in Endgame because of his "PTSD", at the end when he hands off leadership to Valkyrie and cucks Quill he's pretty much Chad God of Thundercock again, just fat.The entire rest of the Guardians still viewed him as the most alpha of alphas. I doubt he'll actually stay a lardass, either.

They probably shot themselves in the foot with the Eternals when they made Thanos a "Titan". An Eternal Thanos would've gotten more attention from casuals on top of the whole "ORIGIN OF THE MARVEL UNIVERSE" shtick when they explain superhumans as being the result of Celestials going around and gene editing species. The dead Celestial from recent Avengers comics isn't a "retcon" of this, just a separate event.

They always could retcon MCU Thanos to be an Eternal of his species but that sounds convoluted and might lead to more confusion. People already give funny looks if you explain Thanos is a human with a skin condition in the comics and not from a planet of big purple guys.

Fem Thor is dumb but I do enjoy the movies Taika Waititi has made in the past so maybe he will find a way to make it enjoyable, also hope they tell Tessa Thompson to stop with the english accent, it gave me flashbacks to Don Cheadle in the Ocean movies.

Doctor Strange 2 will be super meh with Scott Derrickson back to direct, the first one was such a nothing of a movie.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the 10 Rings sounds like it going to be a mess, they got Destin Daniel Cretton an indie drama director to direct who also has only made one good movie Short Term 12, they really should have went with someone with experience in making martial arts movies, will give Marvel the casting Tony Leung as the Mandarin is a good one in terms of getting the Chinese to see the movie but pretty sure he has never done an english language movie before so who knows how his acting will turn out. So sum up, should be a martial arts movie will be a run of the mill Marvel one.

Blade is could be very different from most marvel movies, as it really doesn't need much in the way of cgi and the content suits an R rating however this is Marvel so it will just turn out ot be generic.

I can't imagine continuing Thor movies with Portman as the main attraction. That sounds like an unbelievable stupid idea made up by a woman. Granted, Feige replacement is apparently a lady. So anything is possible I guess?

What I don't get about Portman being Thortman in Thor 4 is that Thor, even after he fucked and and became a hermit, he was still worthy in Endgame and with Cap doing what he did, Thor had no reason to leave it on Earth. So how does Portman get Mjolnir?

They could also just have Portman portray Foster, who goes through a physical transformation when she becomes FemThor. That way they transition the new lady Thor as "Jane Foster", but can get a larger, more muscular woman and then not have to keep Portman around for future films.

Or fuck she might just be a one and done and never be in any more. Who the hell knows.
