I always hated how they made Rogue a goth for the 2000s cartoon.

She basically is OG Miss Marvel/Captain Marvel from the South instead of a cold blonde bitch from the North.

Cartoons were probably written by cucks who want to promote Jean heavily along with Wolverine looking at how I have learned that Cyclops is a mastermind tactician in recent years.

Though her marriage with Gambit is going good.

So the comments made by Feige about Johnny Storm in the upcoming F4 movie ... That pretty much solidifies that it's DOA.

It also confirms that the MCU altogether would have been DOA if that first Iron Man had been made today.

Did they figure out a way to touch each other without Gambit dying? Or are they just avoiding physical contact? It must be neigh impossible while sleeping next to each other.
It always seemed like the forbidden love with them.

Can't Rogue just wear a skin-tight catsuit? I mean it sounds like it would get hot but then I'm pretty sure the X-Men uniforms have some kind of super-breathable tech in them or else they'd be passing out half the time. And I don't know how thick condoms would have to be to protect him but she wears gloves to block her powers which can't be that thick so it should be doable.

And also, to maximise effectiveness when fighting enemies she should probably fight naked. Or at least in her underwear. Then they couldn't grab her or punch her.

Logic solves all problems.

For what I've read of actual fans of Gambit, they hate Rogue and they're fed up with Gambit having little or zero develop aside from being shown in this kind of scenes with her.

There was some long tirade i read about how Gambit was shown wanting kids and, after they got married, Rogue said she won't have them ever and he had to just suck it. Their marriage is all fangirl fulfillment, but it's kinda shallow, me thinks.

Yeah they are using the same fabric as F4's

It is a double edged sword. She might hit her teammates and bystanders by accident.

Cartoon and comic are a very different thing. It's more played for the laughs in the cartoon, with Gambit being more of a puppy trying to kiss her always, while in the comic he's aware that he can die and he's smarter about it.

Also, it's subtle but most of her problems were psychological. She was molested in Genosha and she had zero experience, so Gambit was more understanding that she was not ready and he was fine with it until they could figure it out (he didn't know about Genosha). They eventually did it in a time when they got depowered. They dated again when it was Gambit who managed to make a shield with his powers, and then moved together when both got again depowered. When she gained some control, she dumped him to fuck Magneto to check if he really loved him now she had options.

To answer @Bay Kemal, she got full control of her powers some years ago. Her trauma after being molested in Genosha was making her use her power as a defense. She got help and she got over it.

FTR, Gambit was equally ruined. Despite him saying he was over having casual sex and wanted better relationships, they turned him into a fuckboy who couldn't control his own dick while Rogue was out there "finding herself". Last time he had a decent writer, he met a girl he liked and in fact didn't have sex with her, but rather worried about her. Other writers got him into threesomes and foursomes because they think it's funny.

Its not even bad enough Gwen Stacy will be resurrected to become Gwenpool except she's a Jason Todd/Winter Soldier wannabe (Gwenpool being a gag character disconnected from mainline Gwen is fine, but doing this makes Marvel Editorial evil)
When I first heard the reports they were bringing Gwen Stacy "back" I was wondering how, I wasn't expecting them to bring her back as a Wish dot com Wolverine.

Let alone one that reminds me of the obscure 80s comic character Grips, published via Silverwolf Comics/Greater Mercury Comics

A quick tangent based on some commentary I've been seeing lately.

Apparently there was a character called Leroy on Daredevil Born Again who Matt represents on a petty larceny. Leroy immediately makes fun of Matt for being blind, and demands probation when, realistically, he's looking at 30+ days in jail. Matt and him go back and forth, and eventually Matt gets him a deal for 7 days. Leroy is still furious because he wants probation and they argue some more.

People don't seem to understand the character of Leroy. They ask what Leroy is meant to represent, or how it reflects Matt's journey. They condemn him for being rude, obnoxious and ungrateful.

For what its worth, Leroy is the most realistic criminal ever portrayed on television. He is the embodiment of the Sisyphean chore all criminal defense attorneys undergo when speaking to their clients, and representative of Matt's struggle as both a criminal defense attorney and Daredevil. Matt can push a boulder up a hill, get his client a magnificent sweetheart deal, and in three weeks Leroy will be back in jail on another retarded charge yelling at Matt for not doing enough to get him out of jail.

Personally I am happy that F4 is DOA. Any success and Disney breaths another day. Sure, they will not go bankrupt but they will feel the sting. Between diminished park attendance and expensive movies not making money, they will be hurting for money. They might not go down but a couple of years of failures will cause a course correction.

A lot of the reasoms for the heroes being unable to grow up is that most of the main lead characters are in their 30s and while men their age are thinking about settling down, despite they do want that, they can't because their respective ladies won't. And that's because Marvel doesn't want them to be just the hero's lady, but she needs to be equally "powerful".

Like, maybe Gwen Stacy could be the solution for Peter's problems, and she can be a girl who's there for the hero when he's hanging the mask, but nah. She needs to be a hero too, she needs to be powerful and fight.

It's worst when the lady is an already established hero, like Jean Grey. I read one of the recent FTA era comics and they're talking about the future and Scott says he wants a normal life, but they can't have that because she's Phoenix. Phoenix ain't going anywhere, so Cyclops, who's already close to 35, is gonna be stuck where he is until someone in Marvel office understands the importance of families.

I was gonna ask if Leroy is black. He is.

For what I read, some people are making him a "victim of the system", rather than a participant, which makes sense.

He cried about his missing an SSI appointment, which is just lol because every black criminal is on SSI for schitzophrenia and being in jail has never stopped them from collecting.

Feige is a moron, but hyper sexualisation of the comic characters has also been bad for them. The example I gave above is just one among many more wrong decisions.

Comic characters being adults and having an adult sex life is interpreted by the writers and some readers as hump anything that moves. Hence, Krakoa.

With that being said, some characters are gonna be like this, you need variety of personalities. And makes sense a young guy who's experiencing some sudden fame will use that to get some actions.

I actually watched the episode, and it was interesting to see an unrepentant shithead finally face some consequences… ‘til they gave him a monologue about how he’s not not a bad guy and is just trying to survive and wanted a treat. If I had to guess I’d bet it was a scene from before the BA reshoots, it feels like classic Disney pandering ☠️

Basically that Johnny is a womanizer and a bully, and that he needed to be updated for a "modern audience."
there's nothing to update
he womanizes and bullys and slips and falls on his ass then doesn't score
this isn't fucking complicated, you just show reasonable consequences instead of Nobody Does Anything Bad

It also adds tension for when he does get an actual girlfriend he likes. Will he fuck it up with his flirting? Will one of the girls he's screwed over in the past mess it up?

but, nah, flaws are icky, so let's just have a soy dork

This is pure fanfiction. You don't need to reach that far to justify their dumb virtue signaling.

Matt mentioned about how Leroy was a dindu in the last episode. They are clearly victimizing him. The system is forcing him to become who he is. He was right and he only wanted "the true justice" from Matt and he couldn't deliver it.

The writers couldn't see how retarded that looked like from outside of their circlejerk. They didn't create a retard on purpose. They created a "relatable victim of the system" like this because they are the actual retards.

Not that he deserve to be shot like how the Punisher would deal with him, but LEEROY (Jenkins) is exactly the kind of person Daredevil beats up every night.
