Apparently symbiotes have a dimensional hive mind. So A Venom died, so he has links to that dead Venom.
I think that could be his reason for joining or a setup for a film between Spider-Man and Venom since they have many outings in the comics. The alternative if they do a Sinister Six is probably Mysterio since he tends to escape death in the comics and is the most personal with Tom Holland's Spider-Man out of all the villains

Wow...this looks even worse than I was expecting. Stupid and tone shatteringly deaf marvel quips, more of this POC mary jane-sue nonsense, and the same problem all the worst spider man films have with shoving in too many fucking villain's.

I am glad that electro doesn't look like shit anymore, but god did everything else just look and sound terrible in this trailer.

The trailer is edited kind of shoddily, feels like a rush-job. Everything else is typical MCU.

I mean the too many villains thing was an issue with the other films due to the fact that they had to establish a lot of new characters in a short run time who have to have some connection with Spider-Man. Like Spider-Man 3 probably would've been better if Venom were removed as he was a last minute addition forced by Sony.

No Way Home is just transplanting already established villains from the previous films which doesn't have this issue as the audience already knows who they are.

I can't stand Zendaya's version of Mary Jane, that smug hippy look she always has makes me MATI, but the rest of the trailer looks good, I hate the endless quips but at this point they are expected, like I said before I want them to fuck up somehow just to see the massive cope, but the spiderman sped in me also wants this to be good.

The only thing that makes me tolerate Zendaya's character is that her name isn't even Mary Jane so it's just some new character who has the same initials. As long as she is just a side character (outside of the scene in the trailer which is a clear setup for someone else to save her).

Though the best way they can make this a painful trashfire is if Amazing Spider-Man goblin or Spider-Man 3 Venom is the "hidden" villain

Not sure what all the hype is with Zendaya. Trailer actually piqued my interest so I probably will see this in theaters. Who's the spider man in the black suit?

Zendaya just comes across as one of those "smart girl" characters that annoys people and a pretentious hipster. As for the actor herself, I don't know.

Also I think that's just Tom Holland in a new suit

I wonder why Ock and Sandman are so aggressive here. Both their portrayals were pretty sympathetic in their respective movies; Spider-Man 2 ended with Ock sacrificing himself, not wanting to be seen as a monster, and Sandman was only a villain due to circumstances out of his control (and the way his story concluded is unironically one of the best scenes in Spider-Man 3). I can kinda see this Sandman being from an alternate-alternate dimension away from the Raimi and Amazing movies, because 1) he never died in the original, and 2) Raimi-Sandman made peace with Spider-Man.

Guess we'll know when the movie's out.

Has there been any indication there will be any villains besides those in the films?

Because...it makes this multiverse seem really fucking small if it's literally just going to be villains from the movies we have already seen IMO

The trailers thus far make the plot sound kinda retarded, but theyre probably full of edited stuff, so I'm holding up hope that the actual movie will make more sense.

On that note, I raised an eyebrow when Strange said "these villains are destined to die fighting Spider Man" or whatever, because Sandman and the Lizard are very much alive in their respective universes. Sandman even made peace with Peter and proceded to fuck off to see his daughter.

You know the rules.

"Hey y'all, Scott Here"

Isn't this the last MCU Spidey? I wonder if they'll bring Garfield back for Amazing Spider-Man 3.
No since there is another film planned based on Tom Holland’s contract.

I think that these are versions of the villains who were before their final fights probably also Ock seems to be an ally since he seems to stop attacking Holland since he’s not his Spider-Man and Electro appears to attack him in the trailer.

@ProblematicUser420 The only indications of other villains especially a sixth one is from how Spider-Man fought groups of villains like this in the comics. Also there are some alleged leaks that Mysterio may appear and the post-credits scene from Venom 2 makes people think Venom will join in
