I might be the only one who liked movie Electro. He went full villain at the end, but he was a sympathetic character who stood up for Norman when he needed help. Also he wasn't quipping all the damn time.

No since there is another film planned based on Tom Holland’s contract.
Apparently Disney+ is going to start streaming Sony movies next year so I guess they worked some unholy bargain out. I look forward to Spider-Man: Homeward Bound starring 45-year-old manlet Tom Holland.

Electro is pretty decent, it’s just that there were some weird things that could’ve been handled better.

Also I’m happy that this movie increased Raimiposting

I think that these are versions of the villains who were before their final fights probably also Ock seems to be an ally since he seems to stop attacking Holland since he’s not his Spider-Man and Electro appears to attack him in the trailer.

@ProblematicUser420 The only indications of other villains especially a sixth one is from how Spider-Man fought groups of villains like this in the comics. Also there are some alleged leaks that Mysterio may appear and the post-credits scene from Venom 2 makes people think Venom will join in
Might be a bit too soon for Venom, but I can easily see that being Holland's next film. Mysterio not actually being dead is totally his MO so I believe that one.

Yeah like personally I think the fourth Holland Spider-Man would be about Venom, and Mysterio would make more sense since if he is dead he does have his other allies who are still on the loose. But I can also believe Venom since Sony's Spider-Man division is run by a Venomfag who is very very attached to the character.

I wonder why Ock and Sandman are so aggressive here. Both their portrayals were pretty sympathetic in their respective movies; Spider-Man 2 ended with Ock sacrificing himself, not wanting to be seen as a monster, and Sandman was only a villain due to circumstances out of his control (and the way his story concluded is unironically one of the best scenes in Spider-Man 3). I can kinda see this Sandman being from an alternate-alternate dimension away from the Raimi and Amazing movies, because 1) he never died in the original, and 2) Raimi-Sandman made peace with Spider-Man.

Guess we'll know when the movie's out.
There is a chance they come from alternate universes, where Doc Ock never made the self sacrifice and was instead killed and things like that, although the most likely answer is that thy are just evil for the sake of having bad guys

Honestly, that new trailer looked fine and I'm excited for the film as long as Tobey shows up. I'm really into the idea that Peter fucks up this badly that he needs to learn that being Spider-Man calls for a lot of sacrifice.
I hear from the leaks that that the Avengers forget Peter is Spider-Man and has no ties with them. I was never really against Peter interacting with the Avengers, I understand why some fans weren't happy with that but the idea of him just not interacting with them at all and just being an outsider never really made sense to me. He interacted with the wider Marvel universe in his original run and the Human Torch even attended school with him and mentored him. It's kinda like being mad that Batman shares a universe with the Justice League. I think Peter is just everyone's favorite hero and want him to be seen as special out of all the other heroes but I never felt like he wasn't special in his own films, I enjoyed the John Hughes slant those films took that made them more unique to the other MCU films. I dunno, I never agreed that he should be treated like the only super hero in the Marvel universe.

My problem with Tom Holland's Baby Spider is that at no point is he a solo hero. He was introduced as a protegee of Stark, he was a part of the Assvengers, then in his solo movies he always has another Avenger or Rey Mysterio Jr. babysitting him. He's a spoiled unfunny brat who relies on technology and older men (!) to get the job done, probably because he has a black girl fetish when there's a perfectly hot milf at home waiting to get Webbed if you know what I mean.

I find myself thinking about what it must have been like to be a kid when Spider-Man debuted back in '62. You go in, spend your allowance money on a comic with a guy in red and blue spandex on the cover while thinking about spiders. You sit down in your room, under a tree or wherever kids liked to read back in the day expecting a fun romp only to be gut punched by the ending.

I mean sure, Superman and Batman both lost their parents, but neither of them were in positions of power when it happened. They had no control over what happened. Peter? He had control, but he chose not to act and it costed him his uncle, who was basically his dad. It was a freak coincidence, but it was still a direct result of his actions. What seemed like a nerd's power fantasy at first ended up forcing the hero to face very real consequences for thinking he's above it all.

I know it's incredibly obvious and I'm just preaching to the choir, but it really is impressive how something that's almost sixty years old feels so timeless in regards to its message.

I saw people on Gamefaqs being butthurt that Tom Holland said he doesn't want to still be playing Spiderman at 30.

Newflash, actors aren't as autistically obsessed with this comic book superhero stuff as you are. They usually aren't content to be doing the one same role for the rest of their lives.

Wait seriously their upset because a actor doesn't want to continue playing the same role? Good God imagine if they were alive for Christopher Reeves as Superman and decided not to play him anymore.

Like listen hear losers not everyone is Adam West (that's not a dis to the late great Adam West by the why)

I really liked Jamie Foxx in that movie. TASM2 had many many problems, but Foxx wasn't one of them.

My FAVORITE part though is that because this and GotG came out the same year, people were legitimately crying racism because "black people can't be black in comic book movies" since Electro was blue and Gamora was green.

Jamie Foxx was decent as an actor but the worst thing with him in TASM2 is how much of a autistic retard they tried to portray him as. Only because it felt really awkward and not in the way they intended.

Wow...this looks even worse than I was expecting. Stupid and tone shatteringly deaf marvel quips, more of this POC mary jane-sue nonsense, and the same problem all the worst spider man films have with shoving in too many fucking villain's.

I am glad that electro doesn't look like shit anymore, but god did everything else just look and sound terrible in this trailer.

This was the worst of it. I fuckin hate the reddit tier humor of Marvel Movies so goddam much.
Why can't these movies just play themselves strait and take themselves seriously? And no, dull lifeless diverse
gods that do nothing except for Hiroshima does not count.

Don't forget Peter, MJ, and Ned making fun of Doc Ock's name. It's almost like the people making these movies are embarrassed of their source material and believe unironic, sincere appreciation of it is uncool. Or they just believe that it's the only way to make it appealing to normies. Plus, Sam Raimi already did it much better:

Doesnt that scene feature a reference to Steven Strange?

Honestly that's because Sam Raimi is a better director. Also meta humor died years ago
