Cerave in the tub, and eye creams are just glorified moisturisers. Just use a normal moisturiser under the eyes

It can't go into the pores. The molecules are too big. There is a catch though, some can't handle occlusion at all, but then you can't handle dimethicone or so either. Either that or it's the skincare underneath, because Vaseline is just a layer that don't let anything out. So naturally, having irritating ingredients underneath is going to wreak havoc on your skin.
There is a reason why dermatologists love it.
Huh, interesting, I never knew that about Vaseline. Seems like the AAD recommends it for some but says for those with acne to talk to their dermatologist about it. I've never really looked much into the science behind it, as I hate how it feels on my skin anyways.

I have to respectfully disagree about the eye cream though. If you're using a basic non-fragranced moisturizer, it might not hurt to use under eyes instead of a dedicated eye cream. But there is generally a difference between the two. They are formulated differently for the thinner skin under the eyes. Like, if your face moisturizer has certain ingredients in it, putting them on the thinner under-eye skin can be irritating, as the concentrations of something like retinol or peptides would be lower in an eye cream. Or sometimes they use different ingredients more suited for the sensitive skin. Also, it would depend if you feel you need ingredients to target something specific under eye, like dark circles, or if you want polymers for firmness, these ingredients you want might not necessary be in your face moisturizer.

Everyone's different when it comes to skin care, their needs, what works best for them, their age, etc. It all depends how much time and money you want to invest into it and how your personal skin reacts!

They aren't. Only difference is that eye cream are tested to be safe under the eyes.

I personally use 0.05% tretinoin and BHA under my eyes, and have done so for years without problems and have seen big improvements. Yes, everybody goes through a retinization period (period where skin gets flakey and sensitive for vit A).
If you have no medical problems, I would say you're an retard for not using powerhouse ingredients over the whole face.

Saying you hate to recommend r/skincareaddiction, but sounds exactly like one of them. Even raving about the exact same scammy brands that's circle jerked there.
The irony.

Alright. I sound like reddit because I said different people have different budgets? Okay. I But you are just straight up wrong about eye cream vs moisturizer, and your anecdotal evidence doesn't change that.

I was trying to be polite with you, but clearly you think you are the Queen of Skincare, Try using some of that Vaseline you swear by in your cunt, maybe it will soothe some of the sand you've got stuck up there.

No, and I'm not going to help you figuring it out.
I listen to Dr. Dray. Even though she has her problems, I rather listen to an actual dermatologist than an internet stranger.

Me too, and you were starting to become a cunt towards me. Since we're not on plebbit. I'm not going to hold back, and since this is about a girly topic. It's not even off-topic.

I don't even disagree with your skincare advice but you should chill out. Subbing to a skeleton lady on YouTube does not put you above anyone else here.

Welcome to Kiwifarms, where civilized discussions can turn into autistic slapfights at the drop of a hat.

I could drag up the evidence, if I was asked. Which she didn't, she rather give me an invitation and even the farms know skeleton lady is a dermatologist.
Anyway, it was fun. She gave me too little to work on, and it doesn't spark joy anymore.

She being in denial, is not my problem. No reason to get mad, I just enjoy an good autistic slapfight.

I know this might be conpletely off-topic, but I have no idea where else to ask. I'm really into fitness and food, and follow several YT "gurus".

Alas, there's so much inaccurate and dangerous info out there that I feel the need to autiatically sperg about it somewhere. I used to go to Gurugossiper but that's dead. Does anyone know of such a place? Or is there a thread around here somewhere?

Not off-topic at all, they aim toward teenage girls. I know the youtube-channel «How to cook that» debunk some dangerous cooking hacks.

Hi, newbie back again. I'm looking to get into a new skin and hair care routine (more like, trying a routine for the first time ever) Any recommendations?

The only thing I do now is just to wash my face with an exfoliant soap after shower and every day before going to sleep and just be really careful with my hair (washing with warm water, not boiling hot, being careful when drying and combing with a wide brush once it's dry)
You actually only need to exfoliate a few times a week. Anything more than that and you're just damaging new skin. Make sure you pat dry, instead of rubbing dry with a towel, especially with your hair and face.
Ditch the soap, use Cerave foam with salicylic acid or the hydrating cream cleanser.
Foist your ire at me instead, friends, for I come with recommendations to be debated!

Scalp massagers are cool:

Honey + salt = Nice scrub for keratosis pilaris and general bumpies
2.PNG

Used coffee grounds + some kind of oil = Homemade coffee scrub

Hippy soap is best soap and goat milk soap is amazing, especially if you get it handmade from someone:

Vitamin E can go all over your skin and face and hair. One or two drops goes a long way:

Any time anyone screams about this site being a den of nazis or some nonsense. Someone needs to link to this thread. Would be funny.
That risks the possibility of people seeing me oogle over my gf

Which I would rather keep to this thread

completely obsessed and possibly late to the whole body blur trend. i recently got my hands on Sally Hansens Air Brush Legs (although i use it all over my body, legs, arms, back, ass) and it really gives you the semi shimmery, airbrush look while being pretty much waterproof. it doesnt get on your clothes either if you let it dry and doesn't require a setting spray after, completely recommend, 10/10.
I also have sensitive skin and it didnt irritate my skin or make me break out at all, i heard some people use this on their faces too but i wouldnt dare. Especially because tinted moisturizers are everywhere now. Im thinking about buying the fenty eaze drop blurring skin tint but thats always out of stock smh.
any recommendations for my new obsession? maybe a fenty dupe?

I have one eye that waters like crazy sometimes. Have any of you ladies found a eye primer that will stay through tears. I've tried everything from drugstore brands. I've been hesitant to splurge on the more expensive brands. Havin a $10 one not work is one thing. But spending two times that or more to get the same results isn't something I'm fond of. If it works, then I'm willing to pay more.

I recommend Urban Decay's primer. It's pricy, but worth it.

The Urban Decay Eye Primer Potion has been a long time bestseller for a reason because well, it works.

It comes in different finishes (like translucent, light matte flesh, and sheer golden shimmer) and a tube will last forever since you only need a tiny amount for each eye.
The anti aging one is a stupid ripoff imo though, who needs a tiny amount of anti aging ingredients in eye primer? That’s what skincare is for.

Funnily enough the closest dupe I know of for the UD eye primer is the eye primer from ELF that’s in a tube with a wand and is roughly $2-$4. It’s actually fantastic and well worth the price, I’ve worn them both interchangeably and ELF is still solid.

If your eye is intermittently watering though….now that’s making me think about liner and mascara too since that could be affected.
A waterproof eyeliner and mascara should help, concealer is a bit tricky because it can go muddy if it mixes with wet liner and mascara but if the eye makeup is waterproof it shouldn’t be that much of an issue under the eye.

Última edición:
The UD primer surprisingly does jack shit for me. If anything it is one of the least effective ones I've used.

My eyelids are so goddamn greasy and I sweat so fast, it's a really rare day that my eyeshadow doesn't end up melting out of my creases. I usually stick with the NYX pigment primer since it's reasonably priced and moderately effective. I also have a little pot of something (I think it's called Stuck on You?) that I got in an ipsy bag, it works pretty well but I hate the texture and applying it with my fingertip seems unhygienic and sloppy.

I know I'm the exception to the rule though.
