Do we have a fitness thread?

I need to find a good personal trainer or buy a gym membership in general. I'm underweight for my height (5'8 and 120 lbs) and I want to gain to 130 but mostly muscle in my glute area. I have really narrow hips but I can't do anything about that unless I look into risky plastic surgery.
I think there are a few that might fit, but since you're talking specifically about aesthetic gain it might fit here. Other people feel free to correct me.
That said, it's very difficult to gain or lose in a specific area.

It’s shoulder length. I should’ve specified more, it’s bayalage.
Balayage is such a fun style to get, you can do a lot with it. What color is your hair and what colors are you thinking for the highlights?

I had my hair balayaged for a while, and I had fun getting the tone changed up a bit whenever the toner faded out. My natural hair is pretty dark (about a level 3 if that means anything to you) and I started out with some caramel tones on the highlighted parts, then more a golden blonde, rose gold, and eventually silver-gray. (I worked at a salon, so I was getting my hair done a lot.) Then I decided to go all platinum blonde all over with a shadow root, which was fun, but it killed my hair (my hair is a bitch to lift through that orange-red range. I had to cut it to right above my shoulders to get rid of the damage), and I went back to black (the color I had my hair dyed for most of my teen-early twenties) with a chunk of white-blonde going through my bangs, and I got tape-in extensions so I had some nice length again.

Balayage is great because you won't really get roots, so you don't have to keep up with much upkeep, as it still looks nice as it grows out. And it looks great on pretty much anyone! A good stylist will highlight the hair around your face in a flattering way for your face shape. Make sure to tell us how it comes out!

Thanks for the info.
My hair is dark brown (basically Asian hair)
I want to do a mushroom mauve balayage, the stylist told me that it might look more red.
So we’ll see on how my hair can handle the bleach.

anyone here bought clothes on shein? I plan to buy some cheap cute shit there but want to know if it's worth it.
I've ordered several things. So far I've not been disappointed. I do read the descriptions, measurements, and fabrics. Reminds me of Kohl's or JC Penny's quality.

Oooh, I like that color. Bleach can be tricky, everyone's hair is different. It's good that your stylist is giving you realistic expectations, I've known stylists who tell clients that they can get their hair certain colors that aren't really possible in one session, and it just leaves the client disappointed when it doesn't come out how they thought it would. Hopefully they can get enough of the red undertone out so they can tone it to the color you want (though to get that mushroom mauve color I don't think it needs to get like, white bleached, which is good). Asian hair can usually take a beating and not get too damaged, so I wouldn't be surprised if you get it the color you want on the first go!
I also recommend having them use Olaplex or another bond builder with the bleach if they offer it, it makes a difference in helping protect the hair from bleach damage. Good luck and I hope you love your results!

Will rose gold highlights be easier on my hair?
Since I have the orangey-red undertone.

I'm not sure one would necessarily be easier than the other, it would depend on how much of the orange/red (warmth) the initial bleaching gets out. But the rose gold might be easier because rose gold itself is more of a warm tone, whereas the mushroom mauve is a combination of ashy (cool) tones and sort of subtle lilac/silvery tones if that makes sense? I'm sure your stylist will guide you through all of it and explain as they go, as they work with what color you get from the bleach.

Can anyone tell me more about things like this?

Is there like a modern version? Any way to get them that doesn't look like a cosplay?
It looks comfy as fuck for the shape that I am and I've been looking for alternatives to my current options.

Also, on an unrelated topic, what does this haircut look like irl?

What's it even called besides "weird anime mullet"?
What does it look like when it's loose?

That haircut IRL would likely look something like this:
v4-460px-Style-Scene-Hair-Step-2.jpg

Kind of like the "scene hair" trend of the early 2000's if it's worn all flat ironed with the long swoopy bangs. The more trendy version of it now is usually called something like a "shag mullet", less flat and more textured. It looks something like these:

It's basically short layers all over the top and crown area, with some length kept in the back, and whatever kind of bang you want to have.

Sounds like it would take a lot of work every day or it would look weird, right?

It depends on what your hair is like. I have had the shaggy mullet cut, but my hair is fine and very straight, so I always have to blow dry it at a minimum to get some volume, and I would usually give it some waves with an iron. I also need some dry texture spray or dry shampoo, or else it just falls flat.

But yeah, I would say it requires some daily styling, how much depends on your hair texture and all that, Not a ton of work, especially once you get used to the routine, but it might not be a wash and go style for most people's hair type.

I like my own hair, but I'm old and lazy so I don't think it's something I could pull off. I was just curious.
Thanks for the answer!

There's one fairly sure but it's probably a bit male centric. Building mass for women is a bit different but I agree. A trainer will help you a lot (especially teaching you correct form for lifting if you have never done it) and coming up with a solid routine.

If you're looking to gain get pregnant. That cured my chronic skinniness almost instantly and now it's a pain in the ass to loose weight. No but seriously - you'll have to up your intake but with good proteins and good fats like avocado, olive oil, complex carbs. If you don't have a lactose issue whole milk is your friend along with real butter and cheese etc. Just little changes to your diet here and there can add in calories to help you. Start small. Add in 200 calories for one week every day then 400 the week after until. Protein shakes are a good way to put in calories after workouts too if you're not huge on eating.

I wouldn't dirty bulk eating a bunch of gross fast food because it just messes with your body honestly (and you're trying to get healthy) and I think only dudes can really get away with attempting to turn that fat into muscle since muscle building in general is just easier for them. Advantages of testosterone. For women I tend to think dirty bulking just gives fat where you don't want and it takes a bit more careful curating of your diet.

Realized that since I'll have to wear a mask at work for the foreseeable future, it's an excellent time to start electrolysis again.

Forgot how metal it is. Rocked up with my preteen pube 'stache all grown out, stared at a dried flower arrangement in the corner while tears ran down and the nice lady zapping me complimented my "high pain tolerance." In the background: easy listening hits of the '70s.

This is just a cleanup; I had the bulk of the de-hairing more than a decade ago, but there are a few stragglers and probably some new growth, mostly in the sensitive Hitler area.

Still wish laser had worked for me. Painful results is still an easy choice over a lightly uncomfortable waste of time and money.
