The department store Lord & Taylor is going out of business. Their bye-bye sales have been going on for a while, and at this point the discounts are getting pretty deep. Currently shoes are buy one get one free, fine jewelry is deep discounted, some pretty good deals on skincare & fragrance, etc.

Okay. So.
If you're ever left unsupervised around a bottle of "Campfire" scented fragrance oil, putting some on your wrists as a cologne may not be the best idea. It might start to mix with Essence Of Human and start to smell... not unlike bacon. And what with it being an oil, just washing with soap might not take it all off so that for quite a bit of time afterwards you may smell like a nice smoky barbecue. Pets will be confused, as will your fellow humans.

In case anyone wants to know exactly what oil to avoid using in such a manner, it was P&J Trading Store's Campfire Fragrance Oil. A 10ml bottle is like $5 on Amazon. Lots of smell for the price. Unfortunately.

- DrunK Elephant
what are your fav products by them? I'm going on a trip in 2 weeks to a place that has a Sephora (I live in the absolute middle of nowhere) so I'd like to pick up some things there. I've heard a lot about drunk elephant but I'm scared it's just people overhyping them (like Tatcha - I bought a kit that included items from their rice water collection and it's not all that great)

My wedding dress is going to be cheaper than my flowers.
Why is my wedding dress going to be cheaper than my flowers?
First off, woo! Congrats!

Secondly, same here. Wedding flowers are absurdly expensive; it's ridiculous! For me, the flowers ended up being more expensive than my dress even with scaling down considerably with them (I bought a bunch of wholesale lanterns for the reception table centerpieces instead of flowers).

There's a perfume/scented oil maker I see at the renaissance faire I go to. I've wanted to try them but I'm not attending this year, so I splurged on some scent samples online to see if I liked any.

My favorite is a scent called "mead". It smells like honeyed cherries. Even now six hours later my wrists still smell like sweet honey. I just wonder if I'll have to worry about bees if I wear it out... I also got a more masculine bay rum-like scent (orange, spices, vanilla). I feel weird wanting to wear both feminine and masculine scents but then again why should I limit myself? I like nice smelling things.

Just get a bunch of dead flowers... for free...
I'm going with fake flowers.

Thank you! :heart-full:

Update: the answer was because the dress was counterfeit. Thank god I hadn't bought it yet. Unfortunately, this means it's back to looking at dresses and back to being miserable at the way my body looks.
