And speaking of BB creams, I found the Missha Perfect Cover one on Amazon for nine bucks and I ordered it yesterday. Hope I'll like it!

I hate to be a fearmonger but be really careful with BB creams from Amazon, there are a lot of fakes floating around getting sold from there. Next time if you can order from one of the online Korean stores, some of them even have US fulfillment centres so you'll get your order quickly. I know of one called BeautyTap based in California that as free 3-day shipping on a lot of their products. Hope that helps!

has anyone had permanent hair straightening done? I'm considering doing it after letting my uneven straggly hairs grow a bit longer. I have a straightening brush which works pretty well but I just hate styling my hair tbh.
If it's anything like a relaxer (for Black people), dyeing over it with permanent dye will fucking fry your hair. It's really bad for your hair.
That said, if you must, Sallys sells a keratin smoothing treatment. It's near the white-people perms.

Thank you for the warning. I did see reviews for it on Amazon and it does seem legit. I am supposed to get it today so I'll give you an update.

If it is a fake product, I might give Soko Glam a shot and order it from there.

Yes, it was a type of Brazilian - a newer formula that's easier on the hair. Mine is very long, curly and "80's rocker" big naturally. It didn't make it dead straight like a straightener would, but it looked pretty good and was easier to manage for 6 months, and straightening with an iron was much quicker and easier and still somewhat necessary a few months in. The shampoo and conditioner you have to use with the treatment is a bit pricey, as is the treatment itself if your hair is quite long.

Amla oil might get your straggly ends looking nicer. I've just started using it regularly and love it - makes a huge difference.

I just got my new BB cream and it seems like the real stuff (I decided to look more into it, but I am not sure).

It smells good and it applies well, covers up nicely too.

So I tried out a new liquid lipstick formula. This time from the growing independent brand, Beauty Bakerie.

Lots of "gurus" have reviewed these and given them praise. Me? I actually quite dislike the formula!

I bought a liquid lipstick in the color, "Honey." It's a really pretty peachy nude. The color itself is gorgeous, and the product looks great when I first apply it. However, once the liquid lipstick dries down, it DRIES DOWN. It feels like I'm putting a coat of rubber on my lips, too. It's super tacky/sticky, so it's not even comfortable to wear. It also sinks into every single wrinkle/line on my lips in the worst way. The stuff makes my lips look really chapped and gross.

No sir I don't like it.

What are good lipstick colors when you are as pale as marble?

We definitely need to know your undertone to give you a proper answer.

Are you cool or warm toned? A cool one will look terrible with brownish or orangish shades, but a warm one will most likely look fabulous. A warm one will likely look terrible with a frosty pink or true red, but a cool one will most likely look radiant.

...Ooor you could just go to a store and try on some lipstick and see what works for you. Take a friend along and have a blast.

That’s good advice now I know what to pick. Thanks!

Anyone order Simplynailogical's polish? I'm kinda curious how it is but its all sold out and I'm broke lol.
That shit sold out in like two hours lol. Not surprising, since she is literally the best YouTuber.

I am a gel manicure gal myself and stick to boring professional colors mostly but I might buy it if it gets restocked. Use it on my toes. Good to support people who actually make quality content. I trust her enough to not put her name on a garbage product.

So ColourPop had a big sale for July 4th. I had been eyeing some items for a while, so I figured why not get them when I can get my order for 30% off?

I tried a liquid lipstick. While it's definitely not the best liquid lipstick formula I've ever used (I dislike the Kat Von D and Beauty Bakerie formulas a lot more), I think it's fine. I wouldn't say they're long wearing, but for matte lipsticks, I think they're fine and comfortable to wear. My favorite liquid lipsticks are still that Ulta Avengers one, and the Maybelline 24 Hour SuperStay.

Other things I got were the "Sweet Talk" eyeshadow palette (gorgeous, btw), some Zodiac pigments, some Disney Villain highlighters (specifically the Ursula and Maleficent ones), and a classic Lippie Stix (one of ColourPop's OG items that put them on the map).

Yeah, I pretty much love everything I picked up. Most definitely my favorite makeup brand at the moment. Sephora WHO?

Noice. Do you have experience wearing Black Opium? It's a polarizing scent. I love it on some ppl but can't wear it myself because it pulls too much pepper, and pepper is an awful note on me (:_(

I've heard really good things about Black Opium, but I keep forgetting to try it out.

The notes in it tell me that it would probably be an amazing scent to wear in the Fall and Winter; they're giving me Dior Hypnotic Poison vibes.

I'm admittedly a lowly commoner when it comes to detecting notes in perfume. But I don't believe it pulls pepper at all on me. The white floral comes through strongly, which is one of the things that drew me to it in the first place. Supposedly there is meant to be black coffee in there as well which I cannot detect at all.

Perfumes are tricky. Every individual's body chemistry works differently. Different notes can stand out more on different people. Longevity can be affected by a person's body chemistry, too.

I hate it when I find a perfume I really like, and then it ends up smelling awful or not nearly as nice on me as it does for someone else. Haha.
